Hello again; always I get much of information from your videos but Here I want to share a small Note for in 8:35 . - The catch can in LT1 is for collecting water and humidity that comes with the air through the air filter, after that the air sucks to the engine through the 2 valve overs to the inside the engine then the air pulls to the air intake because of the vacuum. - Not to collect any oil. Thanks
You stated that the fuel pump was voltage regulated to control the fuel pump volume and pressure and I would have thought it was pulse width modulated to work the total loss fuel management. There's a lot of technology going on here, keep it up.
Hey! Great video. I have the same dry sump LT4 and I have a question about the manifold insulation you point out at 3:30. The person I bought the engine from thought it was packing foam when they received it and started to remove it. The top area of the foam is still there and the foam inside the engine area is there, but the exterior foam is all gone. I spent over an hour trying to find the part, but I can’t. Can you help me find it? You’re super knowledgeable and probably know an easy way to find it. Thanks!!!
Awsome content! Love the detailed rundown. Can i ask you a question? The lt4 has variable valve timing right? Isn't one of the benefits of a variable cam timing system is that you can have a silky smooth idle? Ive seen guys with pretty lopey idles. Doesn't that go against the grain with this motor? I know everyone loves a nasty idle. Whats your opinion? Thanks
late reply, but AFM/DOD lifters fail so usualy a cam and DOD delete kit are done. In doing so, often times the VVT is also plugged or limited or removed altogether and use a new gear and timing cover.
Where did you get this engine? everyone I see that sells this doesn't give the pumps and gives the smaller super charger hat (or they just don't update the picture)
Excellent job, very much appreciated. 2023 ZL1 1le
I feel like I need to buy a corvette now!
Wow and I thought the ls3 was great.. this LT4 is next level.. absolutely wicked.. i just want one.

Very impressive breakdown - your experience is evident - thanks for explanation in lamens terms!! More #Gen V #LT content plzz👌🏽💯🔥🔥🏁🏁

You're a combination of Bob Ross and Mr. Rogers for adult children that love engines.

GM's terminology for the "wastegate" is called a charge bypass valve
This is definitely the nerd version of explaining the LT4. Well Done! I wanna do an LT5 SC with a 10 speed in my 67 maro. Saving money now.
Hurry while you can. Just read a few days ago the LT5 is now discontinued.....
Amazing stuff!!!.
That zl1 is getting closer! Can’t wait to get it 😁
That LT4 is a great engine
Great video on the LT4
I love this motor.
I can agree with your statement 😆🙌🏻👍🏻
Great content. Thanks!
Tri-Y headders from the factory 👍

Awesome info
I have a ls3 in my 2014 ss sandan right now one day I hope to have a lt4 in it
Why? Add LSA blower to your LS3 and you will be happy.
Love this knowledge and wisdom
Thank you
I want to swap my original LT4 (1996 C4 Grand Sport) for this engine. Is this viable? Is the dry sump shorter than the wet sump?
How much is a machine LT4?
Is this direct injection engine?
I want to put this in my Chevelle
This is a dumb question but I’ve never worked on the newer stuff can you mount a ls trans the lt4?
No there is a diff bolt pattern, LT have 8 LS have 6
I'm a huge Jeep fan but it almost seems like a waste to put this engine in a Jeep. No way can you use the potential of that thing in a solid axle 4x4.
David Witcher your smoking crack mate I beg the differ
How much this package will runs
Yes Please.
Boom!
I thought LT4 has not AFM (V4/V8) mods!!
Over the counter GM Performance controllers lock out AFM but the hardware remains.
Would love to put this in a Toyota Mark X
I think I want to swap my LT1 to a LT4
Waste of money. Why not just mod your lt1?
Stop tapping just point can’t even watch this. Tap tap tap tap tap tap
2 taps, every time. Ugh! Break that stupid Harry Potter wand in half😅😅
