My wife has had her current S3 since 2017 with park assist +. She uses it all the time and has never had an issue with and loves it. It was a must on the new S3 order.

Just placed an order for a Q3. And looking at the parking “assist” I have to agree that more sensors would be beneficial however to someone like myself who is Disabled the Parking Assist is amazing and pulling away is a great feature so I wouldn’t say its “gimmiky” but it has its place for those that either need it or have no other choice. 👍🏼

@@CRD90 You’re welcome pal. Yeah Every Retailer is having an issue as per limited supply in conductor chips. Suffice to say manufacturers are taking away features i.e. The Q3 not having Blind Alerts or Lumbar Supports for example to get cars out to the public. As Mines on Motability Im having to wait for around 22 weeks or it could take longer.

@@alexhill9098 great stuff - this car works out much better through a company scheme. We purchased ours through NHS discounts too but through a broker called motorsource group. Audi could not come anywhere close to price-matching them :)
@@CRD90 We have only advanced and S-line options in Turkey. We would like to go for saloon with advanced trim for my wife which has pretty much all features. We prefer comfort so advanced trim with 17’’ rims, softer suspension and 15mm more ground clearence would be nice to have.

@@CRD90 I sure am subscribed! Maybe some 0-60 testing on the S3 would be cool. I see many pages saying it does the Audi stated 4.8s.. but then Carwow did it in 4.43 and then even 4.37s! Also if it (or your A3) has the ambient lighting pack, a night time drive displaying the different lighting options would be really great!
Really wished that Audi would offer the heated seats and upgraded audio as standalone options, as I'd personally would never use the park assist or reverse camera. I understand why they do it (💰💰💰), but just wish they didn't.
Lol thanks Scotty, I think it stays on up to a set speed e.g 5mph/10mph as it still thinks you're in parking mode so the sensors stay on too, above that it goes away.
Cracking video again mate! I’ve listened to both systems and now I’ve got my Audison sub woofer fitted I actually prefer my set up but can’t go wrong with the bang and olufsen! Managed to get an exchange agreed for a different car in the end , I’ll pop you a message soon!
Thanks for another good vid. I've not used the parking assist yet on my A3 and not sure I will as I'm pretty good at parking. The rear cam is good to have though. However mine has frozen a few times when reversing and suddenly the footage jumps to show I'm very close to the car behind. So I rely mainly on the beeps.

I've got a 35 TFSI S-line ordered but without this pack. I'm ok with that but I have to say that a reversing camera should be standard on a car like this these days. The A Class has them even on the basic models.

Hi thanks for watching. Its a bit of a hard question. I've got a video on the panoramic roof which should help. We personally added it on our original edition 1 car. Our 2021 vorsprung came with it as standard.
Thanks, it’s interesting to hear about the foibles of the auto-park function. Do you know if it can finish parking manoeuvres that you have started? For example, if you start nosing or reversing the car into a bay and then decide that it’s a bit of a tight manoeuvre, can you hit the park assist button and have the car finish for you? (I wonder if that also might be a way of getting the car to use a space that you’ve chosen, rather than having to drive slowly whilst the car chooses a spot?) And it’s good to know that the reversing camera works well at night. I noticed that on the parking sensor display, the bars at the sides of the car were sometimes present and sometimes not? Do you know why? Fortunately, I’ve ordered this pack; otherwise I would have been a bit shocked not to have a parking sensor display. That really should be a standard feature in this price segment in this day and age.
Thanks for watching and commenting Adam, Unfortunately you can't use the park assist feature mid way through a maneuver. I've actually had it bail out of a parking maneuver half way through on me because it freaked out the gap was smaller than expected. It literally let go of the steering wheel and beeps at you to tell you to take back control. About the parking display lines, not sure I understood what you meant 100% but the red bars really only show up when you're within a set distance of the object otherwise they will not show up on the screen and you will be left with the white bars which show the area / scope available to the sensors.
Great video - I got my Audi A3 SAL SPT with C + S yesterday. I wanted the upgraded sound system and rear camera, hence went for C+S. Amazing sound. But i noticed that the sound on the front door speakers were only emitting bass (low frequency) - The rear doors have mid-range and a tweeter per door. i was not sure if the front door speakers were supposed to have mid-range as well. Do you happen to know if that's meant to be or do you think I should have the speakers checked?
I had that very same question, I even reported it as a fault to audi and they loaned me an A4 with B&O and that had mid range speakers in the drivers door so I thought I was on to something? however on my return I was told tha the A3 doesn't have mid range speakers in the drivers door cards which I thought was a bit odd as there are what looks like speaker grills built in? very odd indeed it just mean all the vocal sound is coming from the screen so wheres the 3D surround :-(

Ahh timely question! We're actually filming the cruise control feature now for release in a few weeks. Generally it will work by letting you set the speed and it will stick to it. You'll have to slow the car down yourself (e.g. use the brakes) and then accelerate back up. If your golfs driver assistance pack is similar to the A3 then you'll lose the radar guided cruise control aspect and traffic sign recognition (which is part of the add-on on the A3) But with the standard cruise control you also get a speed limiter which is good if driving in new areas like central London where it's full of speed cameras and 20! Is the speed limit 😎
I'm currently looking for a 2017 a3 etron and I've found that are 3 different sound systems, the standard one, the audi sound system and the b&o one.. I would love to find a good deal with the b&o but most I find don't have it, do you know how are the differences between those two? For what I can tell from your video the older a3 generation has a trimmed version with less speakers, both the audi and b&o have 10 speakers and the standard has 8
Not too sure on the differences in the previous generation. For what it's worth though I wouldn't worry too much the upgraded sound system on the 8y was pretty poor when compared to other manufacturers and their premium systems
The 2017 B&O has 14 speakers. Bass, mids, and tweets in the front; Bass, mids, and tweets in the back; a single centre front speaker under the front dash, and a sub in the boot. I'm gutted that my 2017 S3 only has the standard Audi system, as I love my music, and the standard system, while okay, is really lacking in bass and low mids.
Thanks for the vid! I’m looking to get the A3 Edition 1 s tronic, either as a saloon or hatchback, with the comfort and sound pack. Just a bit confused as to what comes as standard in the comfort and sound pack in terms of the parking features..is it worth adding the driving assistance package or does some of it come as a standard within the comfort and sound pack? Ideally I want cruise control, Lane departure, parking sensors, reversing camera. Thanks for helping us non car tech savvy people! 🤣
Hey bud, thanks for watching hope you've subscribed for more content and to help us grow 😊 The only extra bit the driver assist package adds is the radar cruise control, traffic sign recognition and limited lane control (takes slight bends for you automatically) At the time I filmed this car I had the edition1 which did not have the driver assistance pack. I later upgraded to the vorsprung where it is standard and I would say it is worth having if you can stretch to it. I've got a really good driver assistance demo which is definitely worth a watch 👍🏽

As a standalone I would say yes if you're into your music. Remember when it comes to selling the car it will have a better speaker system which should help slightly with the price of resale. The standard system is good but not when compared against the b&o which I found better to my ears
@@blasterdj4603 if it is the same price as the UK (roughly £110) id say get it I love mine and it just gives the car a nice feel in the dark winter months. Makes it a nice place to be. You also then get rear puddle lights on the car too where you could potentially put Audi logos (see the puddle light video on my channel) I've also got a great ambient lighting video too
Hey Ashley, Yes it does you would have seen the settings I was adjusting on screen had subwoofer settings, it's hidden somewhere and not visible in the boot etc The video will obviously be limited by the mics I used and the speakers your using to listen to it etc, but having personally sat in a car with and without the b&o system my honest opinion is there is a significant difference and it's a worthwhile upgrade 👍🏽

Love the content, I just wonder how many parking assist bumps go on and how insurance companies react to any claims with this technology. Go back 5 years this stuff wasn't really out there and wouldn't be a big deal anyways. I agree its also a bit gimmicky and I wouldn't trust it. My failsafe is the "wife", she is better parking than me ..lol !

I guess this is why Audi tell you to maintain some control over the car, but I wonder what stance other manufacturers take on it. I have nearly had it cause a scrape myself, so can see it happening relatively easily if people trust it 100% which is dangerous
@@CRD90 by the way u may or may not remember our chat about old A3 v new A3, well I just commited to a 69 Reg S Line sportback with Technology pack, so Im happy. enough as big. upgrade on my 2016 S Line. Ended up with Daytona Grey again as best colour imO

Question: does this system help you going in and out of tight garages spaces? ... at home I mean 😉 I live in a historic neighbourhood of a town ... and ok, having a private garage is somewhat a 'luxury' 🙃 but going in and especially coming out in reverse gear (despite the sensors) is always tricky ... my dream is a car that does the job autonomously and scratch-free!!

When was the Comfort and Sound Pac option introduced to the Audi A3 ? . I took delivery of my S line in January 2022 and was most disappointed to find it did not include Parking System Plus as a result l had to find a garage to supply and fit factory front parking sensors. I was asked if l would take delivery two months earlier than planned. It is a GY3N chassis
Been there since the first 8y cars bud. This one was a 2020 model. The problem is Audi themselves are clueless as to what is included in these options so they often do not explain it when people are placing their orders.
I recently acquired a new 2021 A3 S line Sportback with the Comfort and Sound Pack and Lane Change Assistant amongst other extras. A couple points from the video - with the Parking Assistant you mention using the brake but do you have to use the accelerator as well to forward/reverse the car or does the system do that? Secondly, on the website, it's suggested that if you have the Parking Assist package you also get Rear Traffic Assist - is that the case, please? Regarding the B&O sound system, I thought there'd be a sub-woofer in the spare wheel well but there isn't - do you know where it is? To be honest, I'm a bit underwhelmed by the sound from the B&O system even after adjusting it - it's okay, but not as good as I expected. Thanks for another excellent video, the dealer echoed your point, the C&S Pack adds significantly to the car's resale value whereas the Driver Assistance Package does not to the same extent.
Thanks for commenting bud and for subscribing, little by little we will grow the channel together :) With the parking assist you do not need to touch the accelerator at all, just control the brake and gear select. The rear cross traffic alert is part of the lane change assistant pack, and hopefully I'll get that uploaded in the next video. The rear traffic assist is okay, not mind blowing though. And I actually agree, the b&o system in my brother's 2009 a4 sounds more wholesome, but I would 100% the difference is night and day in an a3 with and without the b&o upgrade. Not sure where the subwoofer is located, probably under the seat or somewhere in the interior. Doubt it would be in the boot as that is usually where aftermarket subwoofers are placed. Let me know if you have any other questions, random question but you're not based anywhere near London are you? I'm looking for an sline for an upcoming video post lockdown.

@@haridanspark Craig, not that I wish it on you, but I'm reassured that you feel the same. The only positive way I can look at it is that the standard system certainly wouldn't have been up to it, although the B&O isn't worth the £700 extra. I will keep fiddling with the settings!
Hi Auzzam, I was disappointed not to find a CD player in the car, I use Spotify for my music and it isn’t very good the quality from DAB radio much better, agree with parking totally, I never use it, something I’ve picked up on is I like to have “speed limit recognition” appear on the dash, I didn’t have it on my 1st S3 🤣 but on my SLine A3 it has it, I think you need a front camera for it to work and it only comes in a £1,750 package on the S3

Also be sure to check out the rest of the channel 👍🏽 Hybrids generally allow you to run purely on petrol as that is one of their main advantages so you would be able to do the same here. If you are referring to the 35tfsi stronic engines these have mild hybrid technology which is not like a normal hybrid car. In this case the engine shuts of briefly when coasting and this battery then powers the electrics in the car.
Not to criticise 😅, enjoyed your video but in fairness you could have done that parallel parking way quicker using the parking assist. You were wayyyyy taking your time accelerating/braking hard and explaining, selecting the right gear, so not really a fair comparaison 😊. I can do it in my 2022 s3 in way less time than those 52 seconds and still it feels pretty safe. Just my 2cents, take care and not being a troll or muppet, just saying 👍🏻
Hey buddy thanks for commenting, unfortunately it's not currently supported only wireless carplay works. I'm an android user myself and it's annoying that I have to always plug the cable in - however the benefit is that it's quicker charging than the wireless charger

With how optional features are so pricey - this car comes in at the cheaper side of the budget but with a whole lot of tech. Hey Jacob, the parking assistant plus is part of the comfort and sound pack so you get both together. The parking system plus which I mention in the video is only part of the comfort and sound or driver assistance pack and allows you to have more parking sensors in the car. Hope that helps bud

I hope you've subscribed for more content and to help us grow the channel :) The reason the vorsprung does not have the flat bottom is because as standard it comes with the driver assist pack. When the a3 has this they change the steering wheel to a fully round version. I believe this is to do with some additional sensors that are placed within the steering wheel. It's actually the only wheel that has been built for this generation A3 as the square lines match the car. You will notice the flat bottom steering wheel has a round centre because it's simply been reused from the previous generation A3. Make sure to subscribe and turn on the notification bell. Thanks :)

When I switch off ESC completely it keeps flashing up on the dash, should it, it’s very annoying 😳

The B&O is absolutely superb. I have it in my Black Edition A4.

Just placed an order for a Q3. And looking at the parking “assist” I have to agree that more sensors would be beneficial however to someone like myself who is Disabled the Parking Assist is amazing and pulling away is a great feature so I wouldn’t say its “gimmiky” but it has its place for those that either need it or have no other choice. 👍🏼

@@CRD90 You’re welcome pal. Yeah Every Retailer is having an issue as per limited supply in conductor chips. Suffice to say manufacturers are taking away features i.e. The Q3 not having Blind Alerts or Lumbar Supports for example to get cars out to the public. As Mines on Motability Im having to wait for around 22 weeks or it could take longer.

I didn't! I'm getting it through an NHS fleet hire, which unfortunately won't let me add more on. Essentially it's a company car, £350 per month including insurance, tyres and servicing. Happy enough at that! Went for Navarra blue 😎

@@CRD90 We have only advanced and S-line options in Turkey. We would like to go for saloon with advanced trim for my wife which has pretty much all features. We prefer comfort so advanced trim with 17’’ rims, softer suspension and 15mm more ground clearence would be nice to have.

@@CRD90 I sure am subscribed! Maybe some 0-60 testing on the S3 would be cool. I see many pages saying it does the Audi stated 4.8s.. but then Carwow did it in 4.43 and then even 4.37s!
Also if it (or your A3) has the ambient lighting pack, a night time drive displaying the different lighting options would be really great!

Really wished that Audi would offer the heated seats and upgraded audio as standalone options, as I'd personally would never use the park assist or reverse camera. I understand why they do it (💰💰💰), but just wish they didn't.

Lol thanks Scotty, I think it stays on up to a set speed e.g 5mph/10mph as it still thinks you're in parking mode so the sensors stay on too, above that it goes away.

I've not used the parking assist yet on my A3 and not sure I will as I'm pretty good at parking.
The rear cam is good to have though.
However mine has frozen a few times when reversing and suddenly the footage jumps to show I'm very close to the car behind. So I rely mainly on the beeps.

I've got a 35 TFSI S-line ordered but without this pack. I'm ok with that but I have to say that a reversing camera should be standard on a car like this these days. The A Class has them even on the basic models.

I discovered your channel by chance as was looking to get a A3 2024 plate , currentky have a Audi A1 20 plate , vorsprung edition 35tfsi automatic .
Is getting g a panoramic roof worth the extra £2500 added towards the cost ?

We personally added it on our original edition 1 car. Our 2021 vorsprung came with it as standard.
Thanks, it’s interesting to hear about the foibles of the auto-park function. Do you know if it can finish parking manoeuvres that you have started? For example, if you start nosing or reversing the car into a bay and then decide that it’s a bit of a tight manoeuvre, can you hit the park assist button and have the car finish for you? (I wonder if that also might be a way of getting the car to use a space that you’ve chosen, rather than having to drive slowly whilst the car chooses a spot?)
And it’s good to know that the reversing camera works well at night. I noticed that on the parking sensor display, the bars at the sides of the car were sometimes present and sometimes not? Do you know why?
Fortunately, I’ve ordered this pack; otherwise I would have been a bit shocked not to have a parking sensor display. That really should be a standard feature in this price segment in this day and age.

Unfortunately you can't use the park assist feature mid way through a maneuver. I've actually had it bail out of a parking maneuver half way through on me because it freaked out the gap was smaller than expected. It literally let go of the steering wheel and beeps at you to tell you to take back control.
About the parking display lines, not sure I understood what you meant 100% but the red bars really only show up when you're within a set distance of the object otherwise they will not show up on the screen and you will be left with the white bars which show the area / scope available to the sensors.
Great video - I got my Audi A3 SAL SPT with C + S yesterday. I wanted the upgraded sound system and rear camera, hence went for C+S. Amazing sound. But i noticed that the sound on the front door speakers were only emitting bass (low frequency) - The rear doors have mid-range and a tweeter per door. i was not sure if the front door speakers were supposed to have mid-range as well. Do you happen to know if that's meant to be or do you think I should have the speakers checked?
I had that very same question, I even reported it as a fault to audi and they loaned me an A4 with B&O and that had mid range speakers in the drivers door so I thought I was on to something? however on my return I was told tha the A3 doesn't have mid range speakers in the drivers door cards which I thought was a bit odd as there are what looks like speaker grills built in? very odd indeed it just mean all the vocal sound is coming from the screen so wheres the 3D surround :-(

Ahh timely question! We're actually filming the cruise control feature now for release in a few weeks.
Generally it will work by letting you set the speed and it will stick to it. You'll have to slow the car down yourself (e.g. use the brakes) and then accelerate back up.
If your golfs driver assistance pack is similar to the A3 then you'll lose the radar guided cruise control aspect and traffic sign recognition (which is part of the add-on on the A3)
But with the standard cruise control you also get a speed limiter which is good if driving in new areas like central London where it's full of speed cameras and 20! Is the speed limit 😎
I'm currently looking for a 2017 a3 etron and I've found that are 3 different sound systems, the standard one, the audi sound system and the b&o one.. I would love to find a good deal with the b&o but most I find don't have it, do you know how are the differences between those two? For what I can tell from your video the older a3 generation has a trimmed version with less speakers, both the audi and b&o have 10 speakers and the standard has 8
Not too sure on the differences in the previous generation. For what it's worth though I wouldn't worry too much the upgraded sound system on the 8y was pretty poor when compared to other manufacturers and their premium systems
The 2017 B&O has 14 speakers. Bass, mids, and tweets in the front; Bass, mids, and tweets in the back; a single centre front speaker under the front dash, and a sub in the boot. I'm gutted that my 2017 S3 only has the standard Audi system, as I love my music, and the standard system, while okay, is really lacking in bass and low mids.
Thanks for the vid! I’m looking to get the A3 Edition 1 s tronic, either as a saloon or hatchback, with the comfort and sound pack. Just a bit confused as to what comes as standard in the comfort and sound pack in terms of the parking features..is it worth adding the driving assistance package or does some of it come as a standard within the comfort and sound pack? The only extra bit the driver assist package adds is the radar cruise control, traffic sign recognition and limited lane control (takes slight bends for you automatically)
At the time I filmed this car I had the edition1 which did not have the driver assistance pack. I later upgraded to the vorsprung where it is standard and I would say it is worth having if you can stretch to it.
I've got a really good driver assistance demo which is definitely worth a watch 👍🏽

I think it's definitely worth it if you are buying it with the comfort pack. As a standalone I would say yes if you're into your music.
Remember when it comes to selling the car it will have a better speaker system which should help slightly with the price of resale.
The standard system is good but not when compared against the b&o which I found better to my ears

Makes it a nice place to be. You also then get rear puddle lights on the car too where you could potentially put Audi logos (see the puddle light video on my channel)

Does the comfort and sound pack include a subwoofer of any kind. It was hard to get a sense of bass on this video.

Yes it does you would have seen the settings I was adjusting on screen had subwoofer settings, it's hidden somewhere and not visible in the boot etc
The video will obviously be limited by the mics I used and the speakers your using to listen to it etc, but having personally sat in a car with and without the b&o system my honest opinion is there is a significant difference and it's a worthwhile upgrade 👍🏽

Love the content, I just wonder how many parking assist bumps go on and how insurance companies react to any claims with this technology. Go back 5 years this stuff wasn't really out there and wouldn't be a big deal anyways. I agree its also a bit gimmicky and I wouldn't trust it. My failsafe is the "wife", she is better parking than me ..lol !

I've always been skeptical too over this exact point. Who is at fault if the park assist crashes. The driver or Audi?
I guess this is why Audi tell you to maintain some control over the car, but I wonder what stance other manufacturers take on it.
I have nearly had it cause a scrape myself, so can see it happening relatively easily if people trust it 100% which is dangerous
@@CRD90 by the way u may or may not remember our chat about old A3 v new A3, well I just commited to a 69 Reg S Line sportback with Technology pack, so Im happy. enough as big. upgrade on my 2016 S Line. Ended up with Daytona Grey again as best colour imO

Question: does this system help you going in and out of tight garages spaces? ... at home I mean 😉 I live in a historic neighbourhood of a town ... and ok, having a private garage is somewhat a 'luxury' 🙃 but going in and especially coming out in reverse gear (despite the sensors) is always tricky ... my dream is a car that does the job autonomously and scratch-free!!

I have tried to park it in my rear garage driveway which is roughly 2 car widths wide and it has trouble finding the space.
How wide is your garage? I could try and test it out if I can find something similar

When was the Comfort and Sound Pac option introduced to the Audi A3 ? . I took delivery of my S line in January 2022 and was most disappointed to find it did not include Parking System Plus as a result l had to find a garage to supply and fit factory front parking sensors. I was asked if l would take delivery two months earlier than planned. It is a GY3N chassis
Been there since the first 8y cars bud. This one was a 2020 model.
The problem is Audi themselves are clueless as to what is included in these options so they often do not explain it when people are placing their orders.
I recently acquired a new 2021 A3 S line Sportback with the Comfort and Sound Pack and Lane Change Assistant amongst other extras. A couple points from the video - with the Parking Assistant you mention using the brake but do you have to use the accelerator as well to forward/reverse the car or does the system do that? Secondly, on the website, it's suggested that if you have the Parking Assist package you also get Rear Traffic Assist - is that the case, please? Regarding the B&O sound system, I thought there'd be a sub-woofer in the spare wheel well but there isn't - do you know where it is? To be honest, I'm a bit underwhelmed by the sound from the B&O system even after adjusting it - it's okay, but not as good as I expected. Thanks for another excellent video, the dealer echoed your point, the C&S Pack adds significantly to the car's resale value whereas the Driver Assistance Package does not to the same extent.

With the parking assist you do not need to touch the accelerator at all, just control the brake and gear select.
The rear cross traffic alert is part of the lane change assistant pack, and hopefully I'll get that uploaded in the next video. The rear traffic assist is okay, not mind blowing though.
And I actually agree, the b&o system in my brother's 2009 a4 sounds more wholesome, but I would 100% the difference is night and day in an a3 with and without the b&o upgrade.
Not sure where the subwoofer is located, probably under the seat or somewhere in the interior. Doubt it would be in the boot as that is usually where aftermarket subwoofers are placed.

@@haridanspark Craig, not that I wish it on you, but I'm reassured that you feel the same. The only positive way I can look at it is that the standard system certainly wouldn't have been up to it, although the B&O isn't worth the £700 extra. I will keep fiddling with the settings!
Hi Auzzam, I was disappointed not to find a CD player in the car, I use Spotify for my music and it isn’t very good the quality from DAB radio much better, agree with parking totally, I never use it, something I’ve picked up on is I like to have “speed limit recognition” appear on the dash, I didn’t have it on my 1st S3 🤣 but on my SLine A3 it has it, I think you need a front camera for it to work and it only comes in a £1,750 package on the S3

Hybrids generally allow you to run purely on petrol as that is one of their main advantages so you would be able to do the same here.
If you are referring to the 35tfsi stronic engines these have mild hybrid technology which is not like a normal hybrid car. In this case the engine shuts of briefly when coasting and this battery then powers the electrics in the car.
Not to criticise 😅, enjoyed your video but in fairness you could have done that parallel parking way quicker using the parking assist. You were wayyyyy taking your time accelerating/braking hard and explaining, selecting the right gear, so not really a fair comparaison 😊. I can do it in my 2022 s3 in way less time than those 52 seconds and still it feels pretty safe. Just my 2cents, take care and not being a troll or muppet, just saying 👍🏻

I'm an android user myself and it's annoying that I have to always plug the cable in - however the benefit is that it's quicker charging than the wireless charger

With how optional features are so pricey - this car comes in at the cheaper side of the budget but with a whole lot of tech. With your budget in mind I would be looking at the a3 vorsprung which has all the bells and whistles on there including heads up display, keyless entry, power tailgate as well as every option you've seen on mine

Hey Jacob, the parking assistant plus is part of the comfort and sound pack so you get both together.
The parking system plus which I mention in the video is only part of the comfort and sound or driver assistance pack and allows you to have more parking sensors in the car.

Why does the vorsprung not have the flat bottom option?

The reason the vorsprung does not have the flat bottom is because as standard it comes with the driver assist pack. When the a3 has this they change the steering wheel to a fully round version.
I believe this is to do with some additional sensors that are placed within the steering wheel.
It's actually the only wheel that has been built for this generation A3 as the square lines match the car. You will notice the flat bottom steering wheel has a round centre because it's simply been reused from the previous generation A3.

@@CRD90 It’s available next week but have told them I have waited so long might as well hold off for the 21 plate. Shame I have missed out on the Vorsprung trim as I fancied the head up display.
@@HandyAndyHomer yep felt the same with the vorsprung, especially as by the time you add a few extras to the edition1 it's not that far off in terms of price.
Fingers crossed it has the electric seats I was just thinking earlier I've not seen anyone comment that they have one yet with the right seats

That's a fair point bud, I'm just happy the seats in this car including the fine Nappa leather look awesome.
Some of the perforated seats I've seen now days aren't so easy on the eye 🙂
