    The timing of me finding this is actually wild. I created this agency (the one I'm literally writing this comment with now) as an SMMA, truly thinking this was the only way to break the cycle, not due to the brainwashing of UA-cam gurus, but overall it just made sense. Collect clients, charge a monthly subscription, get paid. But. The deeper I got into creating this agency, the more I found other "agencies" or "masterminds" were selling "ways to grow your agency", and I couldn't stop thinking about it for days, on WHY do these people sell this idea or "knowledge" instead of using it and growing themselves. It's because it's all at the end of the day, ANOTHER slick way of them creating another business...capitalizing on beginners. You on the other hand Montell, truly opened my eyes to this new idea of just, putting myself, my actual name and self out there...and I thank you for this spark of an idea.

    15 sales at $397 would put him at $9,925. Great video, Montell! Really helpful information and right on point about the cold outreach vs building leverage through a B2C business!🍍

      Sometimes just making the change from trying to sell video editing as a service B2B style to changing it to ISB and selling it B2C style can make a WORLD of difference.
      So sometimes the answer is to just take what you're already doing and 're-skin' it.

    🍍The emotional energy was great, definitely had me refocus on the valuable content. I think the hardest part for creators is going to be mastering the imposter syndrome when turning their niche into a ISB that they feel is good enough to sell to others.

    • @MontellGordon
      @MontellGordon  7 місяців тому +2

      BROOO you hit the nail on the head with this one. Most of the agency services that exist today will probably be gone in the next 3-5 years.
      Have you seen that new Sora AI? - that's gonna wipe out a lot of videographers if they do not adapt.
      I'm also seeing web design being slowly replaced by AI. I've seen copywriting getting replaced too
      What I love about building a brand is that it can't be replaced.
      For example how on earth will an AI replace a whole human being with real-life experiences that do live 1-1 calls with people and in-person events?

    • @DameDoloFilms

    Interesting video Montell. So did you actually succeed with your SMMA agency? Did you use any other outreach strategies than just Cold Calling. Ive got a digital marketing agency and to be honest its going quite well. Its not easy but to be honest no business is. But its very sustainable in my experience and many others that treat it like a real business. I like the idea of what you are promoting now....info products are also good. However Im thinking of packaging my service skills and selling them sometime.....those that I learnt personally. However how would you recommend to get leverage and traction on new social media accounts for this completely new venture....You make it seem quite easy - but lets be honest it will take time and hard work too. Bouncing from one thing to the next "because it may be easier" is not always the best idea much like those people you referenced. I would still keep going with your agency - maybe diversify in services because you have some seriously good skills and it will be a shame to see you leave the space. I wanted to ask what Digital marketing skills would you recommend to package and which route would you choose to quickly start making some money with it quickly? Great video as always

    • @MontellGordon
      @MontellGordon  7 місяців тому +3

      Thanks for the comment my bro and I did "succeed" with my agency and took it to the multiple 6 figure a year monthly run rate.
      It was actually my first ever 6 figure business.
      The problem is, it kind of sucks now in 2024.
      The best thing you can do if you already have an agency is to 1. start building social leverage around your services as this will bring you more clients for those services.
      Then over time whats going to happen is you'll start getting too many inbound leads that you eventually will need to move your services into "programised" services
      So instead of doing FB ads for client you would have a facebook ads program
      Which is digital leverage
      At that point, you've unlocked unlimited scalability and no service delivery so enjoy it!
      Congrats on the recent success by the way and thanks for the comment
      I'm rooting for you!

    about building my personal brand. I want to focus on two things I'm really passionate about: personal development and how to make money online so I can have more freedom and be my own boss. But I feel kind of lost because I don't feel with the authority to talk about any of those topics. For example, how can I talk about losing weight if I haven't achieved it yet? And even though I'm starting to make money online by being an appointment setter, I still work for someone else and spend a lot of time doing it. What is your advice on this?

    Actually a great video and I am just starting out building my brand ! This case study is pretty impressive and I wish him good luck ,but there is one thing I was wondering about !
    Is this actually scalable ? I mean if you have like 200 paid members in your community , you need to really feed them with excellent content and value at least on time a week , maybe with 1:1 calls and so on , beside of that he also needs to do content for his channels and I was just thinking that this is not doable at at certain point , as a one man show , simply because the day has only 24 hours and you are most likely to burn out ..
    Do you have any helpful advice or opinions on that ?

    • @MontellGordon
      @MontellGordon  6 місяців тому

      Thanks for the comment my brother
      Answer is yup
      Let's take an average 40-hour workweek
      Content for UA-cam can be done in 4 hours for 3 UA-cam videos
      That leaves you with 36 hours left to create one post a day onTikTtok/IG - which takes roughly 1 hour
      That equates to 9 hours of content creation a week
      Leaving you with 31 hours to do 1 group call at 2 hours a week
      so with all that content creation and even your weekly zoom call you're still left with 29 hours of free time
