I had a hard time REMOVING the Key Keg coupler. Can you please advise? We had one on site at an event and could not get it to remove counterclockwise like our D Coupler. do we have to press in the K Keg Couple Handle? Rotate it clockwise to remove it or? Also is there a blue dust cover under the snap on top sometimes? I read that and wonder how to remove that.

Where can I buy a keykeg coupler? Is there another name for it?

What kind of coupler is that?

KeyKegs require the global KeyKeg coupler. Available from KeyKeg.com. Micromatic and DSI manufacture KeyKeg couplers. The same KeyKeg coupler is used for ALL KeyKegs making it a universal coupler.

What type of Kegerator are you using for Key Kegs ?

We buy cheap kegerators from BeverageFactory or Best Buy - often the Insignia and KegCo brand.

same as you would for any other keg. Micromatic has one available with an inbuilt air compressor specially designed to dispense keykegs

what type of gas? Co2, Oxygen? etc?

    • @mattmatros8170

KeyKeg uses C02, Unikeg uses CO2 or Nitrogen

With KeyKeg you can use CO2, Compressed Air, Nitro, Cellarmix. It doesn't really matter since the gas never touches the beverage.

Do you take the little blue piece out or leave it in?

yes! it's garbage! it's placed there to prevent debris from entering the keykeg during transit.

      Hi there.
IF your keg arrives with a little blue thing inside the coupler valve this MUST be removed before attaching the coupler. If not you will cause damage the kegs valve because you would be pushing this blue cap (in fact it's a dust cap that should not be on the keg once it is filled) into the keg valve.
Instead, the keg should have a "snap cap" placed over the valve area after the keg is filled as seen in the video above. After removing the snap cap there should be no blue dust cap.
I hope this answers your question.
      Regards.

I bet you get a lot of complaints from customers due to the way you fill them.
