    I’ve had to go back to 30 years to finally see an excellent tutorial recorded on a camcorder on how to ride a stand up correctly says a lot about the idiots on UA-cam today

    The best video on UA-cam to learn about these old stand ups, thanks a lot 👍

    I don't know what it is about this ski but it looks so good, like you're riding a flamingo on water.

    Ok after seeing them do the tandem without issues I've decided my 440 must not be running right. It just seems like a dog and takes forever to get on plane with my 195lb butt.
    Also this is by far the most informative stand up ski instructional video I have ever seen.

    A lot of this is still very relevant, I was interested to see he doesn't swap his foot position depending on the direction of the corner

    I still have my 86 550 jetski that I bought brand new in 86. Looks like the one in the video except that one is an 85 .The 86 models started having the stubby,short exhaust nozzle coming out of the side of the hull on the right side, just above the water line. Also, 86 was the first year for the breadbox shaped exhaust expansion chamber. Horsepower on the 86's were 41hp vs 36 on the previous years.

    Who thought that adding a droning, monotone, non stop engine soundtrack was a good idea though? 🤣

    3:25 so is it safe to assume that you would roll any jet ski on its exhaust side of the engine?

    • @noahu3422
      @noahu3422 3 роки тому +1

      the later 550s have rear exit on the side of the carb always tip away from the carb and towards the exhaust manifold which side the exhaust comes out doesnt matter

    • @shockwave538
      @shockwave538 3 роки тому +2

      Yes, towards the exhaust side of the ENGINE. This isn't necessarily the side that the exhaust actually exits the body of the ski.

    Riding backwards is a ticketable offense where I live. It’s considered reckless boating.
