Most of the saints in these videos have gone home: George Younce, Glen Payne, Howard and Vestal Goodman, Jake Hess, James Blackwood, Eva Mae LaFevre, Mary Tom Speer Reid, Rosa Nell Speer Powell - all present here, all home. Not many quartets better than Michael English, George Younce, Glen Payne and Jim Murray either. George has a leads voice with a bass range, simply beautiful!

Had this played at my wife's funeral, I had so many tell me how this song hit them during the service. Guess it was a great choice of songs, and will never forget this song.

So much more heart and soul in this video then the new ones now. You can feel the spirit in this video way more than in the ones now. It seems like the ones now are just for show.
Some of the greatest Gospel singers of all time in one room... And, as far as I'm concerned, there will never be another bass voice as good as George Younce. He was truly anointed.
Unlike many bass singers George Younce sings bass instead of talking through a song.
George. What can be said about George with such a limited worldly tongue? His love for God poured off of him. His cup clearly flowed over. There is nothing greater that can be said of anyone than "he clearly loved God."

Two different voices. Michael did a very great job in owning the song, while George provided a firm foundation for the rest of the voices to built on. That's what a great quartet should sound like. Exceptional tenor voice (Jim Murray), awesome lead voice (Michael), a baritone that fills the gap (Glenn) and a solid foundation (George).

What year is this? It looks like about 1989??
Dave B. First video in 1991. I read that the video series started somewhat by accident. All of the friends were there together for a music track, but as they sat and reminisced and sang songs after, someone decided to record it and then they sold it with the album and the reception was so great, the video series started. That’s why the videos in this first video set is only shot with one camera. Almost like a home video of friends and family together. Looked like a great time.
