Well done dear Michael Unruh! It's incredible all these worlds that you open up and that come out of your magical bass clarinet creating sound forms, landscapes, universes that are both fantastic and natural, sometimes terrifying by the way or others more reassuring. It is a joy and an odyssey adventure to hear you, to tell you, but you already know it, how much I love this beautiful Dionysian and solar madness that ignores all prohibitions and prejudices in terms of music. At the end of the day, a true musician who goes to the end of himself in the sacred service of music in all its forms and especially the most unexpected musical forms, unfolding them before us with art and humor. Thank you Michael for these treasures /P.G.Y
Amazing! I'm trying to figure out how you did this! Fast tempo on the Slicer and key noise loops? The video seems to be in tempo as well, but perhaps it's just me.. Great work as always!
I program 10 channels on the slicer triggered by my microscale transposed to root position. Forward, retrograde, inverted, etc. I boosted the gain on my Pre amp 15 dB. then endeavor to maintain an air column without vibrating the reed much while chirping harmonics. The popping pads produced the drum like sounds. To play out on my bass clarinet I had to drop the decibels and loop what I had been doing before. Then I could manipulate the reverb core. The video is of my lips and tongue recorded in disturbing close-up. As it was disturbing, I decided to filter it until it is what it is. What fun!
That's really awesome! I love it.
