I dunno about you guys but this was the first video I watched for this gem,, and I love this guys voice... So simple, so straight up. I had 2 3stars I was trying to sell on the exchange and I pulled them off to use them instead because of this video.
How can you proof that? I am necro player and I got 2 stars gloom cask, but there are no videos with Necro using it a rank 3, and the ones who upgraded it, it didn't say something related to works with summons, I really want to know this but with a proof, since I'll not spending 75+ 1 gem, rank 1, that can be a waste of materials, thank you
This gem true potential scales up with attack speed , its meant for dh and battle mages , i saw another video of it being used by dh , 4 pcs vithus 30% hatesheath 40% scornbreak 30% total 100% bonus atk speed , at rank 1 and 7.8 secs duration in slow motion he unleashed a total of 55 gloom blades x 30% of his primary attack thats insane dps.
I would love to use this gem, but the way the system is currently designed it is very difficult to go from a lv 4+ 5 start gem to another. I wish they would lift the requirement for all of the copies to switch from one to another. I can see ways to abuse, but they could safeguard against those.
@vk.videos I have all level 4 and one level 5. But the 5 I would switch to Gloom if I could, but under the current system it's too difficult. Oh well D4 will be here before we know it :)
Almost 8 Seconds with 2p Vithu's and you can push it to 9 Seconds easily with buff duration gear. So the Debuff could reach 11 or 12 seconds. In Dungeons, bosses don't live long enough anyway. In raids you try to time Gloom Cask with holy Banner to maximize your damage output.
I need to say This gem is working well for Necromancer BUT if you rank up this gem for 3 or more. I upgraded it to Rank 5 ( my first 5* gem rank 5 ) and it gives me 12 % more damage from Primary attacks. And it work for Summons primary attacks too For me this is Top gem for DH but for Necromancer also ! debuff work 3 secounds But if you attack you refresh negative effect. It work also good with new Off hand Necromancer for Golem> each negative effect you golem doing more damage up to 4. I tried it and work nicely ! See You in next episode !

This gem clearly says that on rank 3 doing more damage by 6 % on Your PRIMARY ATTACKS. and summons calculate to All primary attacks, shalbas 2 parts set, reforge bonusses. Legendary bonusses. Ewerywhere primary attacks stat work for summons. And for this gem also work ;) Thats why i am saying this is one of best 5* gem for Necro summoner.
@@KThuzad The sad problem is that DI has a history of incorrect gem descriptions, that's why people want proof too. If at Rank 3 & above this gem really does increase summon's primary damage then it's a good choice for necro, otherwise it may not be that great a choice.
No. because it scale up from You damage overall so if you have for example 10 000 Damage on You character it will do 35 % of that + 200 + so 3500+200 Bigger rank of this gem makes bigger base % dmg
Actually this gem work great with Necro 2nd primary skill(poison). Atleast for me. Bro I actually can't decide what better - 3 Rank frozen heart or 2 Rank Phoenix ashes or 5 Rank battleguard for pvp. I am necro player :)

Enemies hit by the gloom blades take 24% increased damage from your Primary Attacks for 3 seconds." Rank 10 description. Bonus is much more complicated and you can not simplify it in that way. I think that primary and gem damage has diffrent source of multiplayers. But BASE DAMAGE is same for both. Additionaly it increses damage for primary attack as well but gem must be at least rank 3 and its just 6 %. That's why attack speed is crucial. If we consider rank 1 and 30 % of base damage I highly doubt that gem damage equals 30 % of primary. Primary additionaly has much more other multiplayers. In summary it's less than 30% but how much exactly is difficult to guess since diffrent people has diffrent affixes.
I was lucky and got that gem yesterday on my DH, can someone explain me what that actually does? I didn’t understand it at all. Should I use it or sell it on the market? Thy :)
Then I would put it somewhere between chip of the stoned and howlers call. Actually howlers call deals 150% dmg on rank 1 and it also has 20 sec cd. Thats why gloom cask is attack speed dependent.
@@vk.videos ok, so with 5 primary attacks it deals the same as howler's. If u are spaming as a necro u should do near to 10 attacks in 6 seconds. Is that right? Also vithu's allow u to deal at least 15 then. Comparing this aspect it seems it is way better at least at rank 1.
ı love your videos, and thank you very much for your effort however, you always talk about your character, there is not just you and Dh ,my humble idea is you must mention other characters as well, like a basic paladin, barbarioran, monks, those are also mele champ and there is on the game, if you just stick your character, this channel would not go bigger and empower , and you can expand your content. also, you can reacord more videos..
i saw many crussarders with that gem. But they can use that gem using Horse spell. i saw it works good. But for barbarian or monk i think are better 5* gems But gem work for all classes

works on summon refers to the effect of rank 3 onwards. 6% damage increase from primary attack also includes the summons' primary attack

Yes thats what I wanted to show in video. If you are not going into attack speed bonus then its nothing but cool looking gem.
I have it on my Frenzy build barbarian, absolutely nuts. My attack speed is even faster than DH's with hell 8 weapon

Exactly... thats why I recommend lower tier gems till you have multiples copies.

I need to say This gem is working well for Necromancer BUT if you rank up this gem for 3 or more.

For BG i would go frozen heart. PA is great for vaults or rite where your life is really valuable.

Core gem for dh. It shoots projectiles with your auto attacks when activated.

not good for Necro imo. This gem was made for demon hunters but also battle mages and monks may probably have use of it too
I have similar feelings. Howler's Call deals 150% damage and has same cooldown.
