The more I listen, the more I realize how good this band is.
Me too
Couldn’t agree more
They all sound great together here. Neil Smith on guitar in particular adds so much to these awesome songs.
Neil is so underrated
That echo-y singin on Moonshine is *simply amazing*
A great band. Melodic and fresh - human grooves - who'd have thought it? Real voices Real instruments. The jazz master player is a real stylist!
Quirky, Magical, Beautiful and so so Welcome in a World of so much Musical Dross.
Such healing stuff this band
indeed
When Guy Garvey loves an artist, you know they're good. This is no exception.
This is stunning. How did I not know about this band until now 🤦♂️
I completely agree! I have the goosebump feeling.

Agree, killer Neil Smith solo on Hotter Colder, love this band alot.
During which the cameras decided to show everyone but Neil 😡.
So glad to have found this music, albeit about 10 years late but better late than never! Kates musical friends are all very talented, love it!
It reminds me of a local Ottawa, Ontario, Canada band called 'The Acorn' from about the mid-1990s.
No smoke & mirrors, just beautiful strong writing & playing. Not to mention accurate sound reproduction & engineering.
I wish all young upcoming musicians could watch this with all ears and eyes open, rather than worry about who's who, what the next superstar will be, etc, etc.
Keep it real.
man, this group 💜😍👻💓💙🤍🖤💥🤘🏆💚
Wow this band is so good
simple and pure yet beautiful like a snowflake being gently blown in a soft winter wind
oh FFS...
A fantastic performance at the Brudnell in Leeds with this band, my wife cried!
4 years later but big up Brude!!!
Beautiful in so many ways. But why does the camera deliberately pan away from the amazing guitar work in Hotter Colder and return to him the second it’s over? TOTP all over again.
you can get some counselling for this trauma .
Sandy Denny goes funky.
Concerts! THE BEFORETIMES
Once in a while, an artist comes along & sneaks into the centre of your very being. Sneaky Kate..... sneaky. Really looking forward to seeing them in the very best festy setting, end of the road (hushed tone) Garden stage.
Such honest music 😊
Hotter Colder is a masterpiece
I love these guys!
This is excellent !!! Love this band sooo.
Love this group
This band has been on my playlists for years. I think the getter with every listen, and I’m definitely gonna see them live. Underrated!
Wow. Love this.
Love seeing the watching graph and seeing that spike at "Hotter Colder", such a good version of the track :)
Such a great, fresh sound
Not sure how the crowd is so docile. This is an incredible set filled with rhythm. Come play over the ocean where our souls force our body to move to such mesmerizing sound. You're amazing, people are too blown away inside to dance.
Americans are an absolute joke. OOOO OOO I GOTTA DANCE AND MOVE AND GET ATTENTION OR PEOPLE ON INSTABOOKTUBE WILL THINK I DONT ENJOY THE MUSIC!!!
Do you even hear yourself?? Youre embarrassing us all
Here again & again.
Great session : this is the kit (as we used to say)!😁
💕Kate . 🐂💨💨💨💨💨
sublime performance
That was fantastic.
Merci pour ce partage je découvre ce groupe et j'adore
These guys are so good!

Tellement beau, tellement classe. Bravo à toute cette team génial.

aaaarrgghhhh I love this!
This 66year old has just heard of this band. Very impressed.
wonderfull and full of wonder
Love her and the band , the lyrics the tempo i so wish she'd perform in Pittsburgh Pa ( my apt is small me my guitars but they could all camp out here between performance's)
Sebastian Vettel looking very chilled out on drums.
Still fresh as a daisy in 2024!
so good
Todo lo que hace esta chica es precioso...
Wham, it's WEM!
Fantastic Music, sound and songs ! I got here today from NETFLIX "Sex Education' sound track, where one of their songs stood out (Bashed Out). I am even more impressed from their Live Performance - and a Banjo !! Hope to have a chance to see them win concert soon !
she's kitty...soooo sweet and talented...unique
Oui! J'adore! =oP
That huge black hollow cut guitar and that red + white bass guitar... niiiiiiiiiiiiice
what a great song....bulletproof...just fucking love...amazing
How does this look so much like it’s The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1982?
Great! 🖖
Love it, but in Hotter Colder, why did the cameras focus on everyone but the guitarist doing the killer solo lmao
sometimes it seems as if these people aren't even listening to the song--love the ankle tams@go567890
The camera actually comes back on him when he's done, pretty funny.
yeah, I would have like to see that guitar solo work
Even Kate Stables looks at him, but that's no hint to whoever did the cut...
Hell of a guitarist
Fabulous. Neil Smith is underrated
Incredible. Unique. Can't help but to repeat hotter and colder over and over....
"Hotter Colder" is something we should send out to space for alien civilizations to find :D
some love that I send to you
♥
Killer!
Good, I am gonna check it to Pohoda festival.
Doesnt she look like young Alex Turner little bit? :D
Right on form on this, the footage has a 60s feel to it as well
beautifully heartbreaking
Magickal
If you want more magick than also check out Cate le Bon
That is the nuts.
Damn, that old man has some wheels.
Careful about "old"...he's probably about the right age to be my younger brother!
😊
=oD
I have to have the volume down really low, cos it's 3am here right now and I'll wake me mum... And all I can make out for "By My Demon Eye" is this weird mantra: "Photocopy, Photocopy, Selling Your Master Copy..."
I DO actually know the lyrics, but with the volume down rather low and the ambient noise from the fan going round, it comes out for me as... "Photocopy"... XoP
Coolest women on the planet.
both of them
yes I know what you mean
Well, one of them.
In this field of endeavour tho', definitely top 10.
IMEO(in my educated?🤓🤡opinion)🐂💨💨💨💨
Especially like the bass here. Played with an orchestrator's ear.
Rozi Plain - has great albums of her own, in case you don't already know them
The Little Unsaid show me "This is the Kit". My hears can't afford much others artists.
likeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
sing kitty cat and never stop....till the end
ny jets hat!!!
what bass is that? i love the tone, have a nylon string, it had some brand?
It's a Dallas - British made guitar from the 60's.
It's so quite but there's so much rhythm
Who is the guitarist on the left, with that great solo in Hotter Colder!! ANYBODY knows??
The band is fantastic!
Neil Smith - Kate described him as their secret weapon on RadMac last weekend! :)
That is really what I think. Oh by the way, which one's Pink!
the drummers BBC esque weather symbols on his kit tho
This is awesome. So sad Spotify versions are compressed poop - still not quite a diamond.
Delicius !!
WHAT overdrive is he using .. it amazing! top solo on hotter colder
cheers! Its a Wampler Clarkesdale
@@brackishband9193came here to listen to it again! And saw your reply! 😅 now i want one! But also want to play like that! Shame the camera wasnt following!
@@brackishband9193seriously!! I'm in awe mate!! Its a beautiful, cutting sound but sits gracefully underneath Kate's vocals.
Reminds me of a modern Pentangle, just suburb......
Pentangle with the cool of the Velvet Underground.
@@trevorloughlin1492
nope, this is way better .
@@zorbanongreco I agree. I am really an 80's post-punk fan, but future-folk is just as innovative and exciting.
@@trevorloughlin1492
hi Trev ,yes and good music is good music whatever category. Was John Martyn "new folk" ...?
does anybody know what bass guitar that is?
Dallas , UK made in the 60's
@@brackishband9193 thanks

Neil, the hidden cousin of Ted Nugget! Killer on Hotter Colder, yeah !!!!
Nugent vs KFC :) ! Love Kate and the band!
I can smell the astrolube in this video
is she wear an ankle monitor?
The Jets. LoL. Can't wait for a Cowboys Beanie. Oh wait, they have to be admirable... got it...
Vsauce on guitar?
come on! that lead guitarist was the Kit... sorry, the shit!
This is the shit
All a bit typically whimsical and fay. As you might expect from the alternative middle clarses
I can't wait to hear your non-whimsical record that documents the struggles of the working classes.
@@rosh_lal_music Gilliman's got a point. This is anodyne, self-satisfied and very, very dull - all the worst aspects of Guardianista/6 Music hipster pandering are on display.
It's agonisingly middle-class of course, but you don't have to thrash away documenting the 'struggles of the working classes' to produce music with more life and substance than this. They look like they could knock out 100 albums of this mush every year with little or no effort. Technical expertise counts for nothing when you're producing something so teeth-gratingly twee and smug. This is music played by nearly-deads for the already dead.
