I could almost hear Rigondeaux saying to himself "I am a decorated amateur and professional boxing champion who has excelled as an elite defensive boxer in both settings why would I allow myself to stay in the proverbial (Kill Zone) any longer than I have to when I'm beating my opponents easy and right now without taking foolish chances fighting on the inside".It goes to show you that irrespective as to what reputation you have as a boxing trainer you must have the ability to teach a boxer within the boxers natural proclivities the through basic fundamentals. While I respect Freddie Roach as an excellent trainer I have always felt that his style of training was more well suited for boxers who are punchers. Just my opinion!

Freddy was trying to teach Rigo how to fight on the inside. Did not you know that Rigo does not know how to fight on the inside?! He never learned it. Just look at all his fight and see how he gets paralyzed on the inside. Freddy was trying to make Rigo a great offensive machine because he knew Rigo was a defense master aleady
