"Why are you looking for a new gardener so soon?"
"Well, the last one who volunteered got off the bus and then immediately went back home, and when they came back the next day they didn't look before crossing the street and got hit by a bus."
"The point is that we need someone who probably won't get isekai'd."
I love how you went home for the first day. Procrastinator's gardening 101😂
"I feel like I'm saying 'pretty' a lot."
That may be one of the most frequently-uttered phrases on this entire channel. The only ones that beat it are probably "Why, hello everyone!" and "Welcome to PlayFrame!"
For Rock and Stone first you need beer. Never skip that step, it's very important
Did I hear a Rock & Stone?!
ROCK AND STONE!
Any Video with Carrie in it is a Good Video *sage nod*
This isn't Sunday! How delightful! Both the game and having more Dan+Carrie fun! I saw this when it launched by sheer coincidence, it looks so cute!
Cohesive is the perfect word for the art style of this game. Sooo pleasing.
41:18 Yeah, Vampire game event, requires a set, red roses as a central motif? I'm hearing "Toreador" already.
Another very cute and good game! You guys are introducing me to a whole lot of those lately! And since it wasn’t mentioned, the word Leslie was saying was “secateurs” which is the British term for what we know as pruning shears!
5:40: Freedom from monetary concerns, freedom from profit motive, is one of the most important freedoms for artistic endeavors in the modern world, second only to freedom of speech itself. (This is not a bit.)
22:25: A rare thing to see when discussing local pavilions. I'm guessing that either Robin died while working on it, or they were murdered by the Neighborhood Watch Alliance.
37:25: If this is Robin's first priority, we can _probably_ rule out murder.
2:25: Maybe they're just luminescent introverts.
3:55: Avant-garde gardening simulator. 70% of new players die before reaching the garden because of traffic.
9:30: SOME GARDEN
11:23: ...Robin or the rucksack?
17:20: Definitely more than he accomplished the first day!
29:10: Who, the frogs? Of course they're chill, they're ectothermic!
35:30: There are _actually_ ghosts?!
42:40: Define "that hard". And "bench". And "construct".
45:52: Makes sense. Squirrels don't usually like to sit on benches. (Hawks, by contrast, _love_ when squirrels sit on benches.)
Perhaps Robin doesn't know they were murdered?
39:41 Yeah, one of rain droplets fell on the camera? Weird jumpscare glitch
Looks like they have some rain drops that are very close to the camera at random moments, but they just fall through
Very interesting that you managed to catch one before it fell to the ground, maybe it was trying to fall on something before the camera spun around?
(this is just me being a programmer and trying to figure out what happened, the game is gorgeous)
As someone whom have little messed with vfx stuff, my guess is that the rain droplet hit into geometry that was v-shaped and thus game ended up making two png's that half way show up in the air.
This game feels delightfully British.
Of course, most of the British media I've consumed have been murder mysteries, so I have some suspicions about what happened to Robin...
I stumbled on this game during last year's Steam next fest! It's so cool seeing how far it's come!
Odd side effect of this episode: Carrie's simulation sickness interests me, as someone with a nonzero amount of motion sickness (now limited to VR and ocean boats, basically). I cannot deal with high FOV in games. It doesn't make me nauseous or anything, I just can't deal with it. Camera speed I get, especially if you're not playing.
Dan and Carrie, in the middle of the week? I'm in. Lovely game!!
The word Leslie is saying for pruning shears is "secateurs"
I forgot to say this day of, but this was a lovely little Leap Day present, thank you!
Welp gunna hafta give the game a shot now 😂
Lmao I playing mincecraft with the sound off and the intro cutscene hit that mincecraft ost vibe.
First day on the job...... Ok, bye
Do we know if there is an end to this story mode version?
I guess I ll have to play it huh
It's very nice but it's semantically kinda strange to me that this is a community garden where only a single person actually works in.
I suppose it's meant to be a garden meant to be *seen* by the community rather than *tended to* by it? Not what that normally means though.
That said, it might be a more stressful experience if other people actually changed things. And in fact, much much harder to program, given it's supposed to be a creative situation. The only way I could see that happen would be in some sort of multiplayer setting
I've also heard the term used for a large garden where the community members each get thier own allotment. So beyond your fence would be another person's garden, and beyond theirs yet another, with little pathways between. But it seems this is a garden for the community to hang out in.
@@maromania7 yeah, that's a common way to do it. It's managed by the community, with a sort of honor system type agreement (sometimes it might be more formal than that), that a specific parcel of a garden is in your care. Those kinds are typically about growing veggies.
so cute!
Are these npcs all telepathic?
How come you don't do live streaming I mean you can show toyt puc every once I awilelittle clips of you and Carrie
How cozy! I love when characters have gender neutral pronouns!!
