My greatest respect to Miss Stanwyck ❤. She was able to portray remarkable characters of any type when notified by studio. Good Lord, in whatever role she portrayed it was utterly marvelous!

Barbara Stanwyck and Joan Crawford were very good friends. Both amazingly talented. Both were said to be a dream to work with. Both always treated the crew and co-workers extremely well. Extremely talented, lovely and professional ladies. Thank you so much for uploading this

She was loyal to Joan but have you heard the Shirley Eder tapes? Lol. She didn’t sound so thrilled with some of Crawford’s antics. But Crawford didn’t say one sideways thing about Stanwyck to anyone. Always nothing but praise

What a treat, thanks for, posting. Barbara seems so real and down to earth. She had so much integrity for her characters, always just went for what was essential- no gimmicks. I think that’s why of all the great golden age stars she seems the most modern and timeless. Her performances seem effortless yet visionary at the same time! Simply the best❤️

One if the genuine Hollywood greats. Can you imagine any of today's superstars talking about their career so modestly and with such candour? I am guessing this was just before she began her long run on TV in The Big Valley.

The interviewer’s Culver City by way of the Thames accent is difficult to understand.

Every movie I have seen Barbara Stanwyck in I have always been amazed by her dialogue delivery and her fashion. She, like Joan, had an awesome shape and could wear anything and make it pop.

Stanwyck's final theatrical movie, "The Night Walker," was one of her worst. Her work thereafter was on television.

She was great broad! And I use broad in the best most complementary way. She had balls and was THE best! I like how she just said it like it was especially when she got older. She took no crap!

I would liked to have seen Joan play Miriam, but we should not forget that Olivia was a big oscar winning star too. She was best friends with Bette, just as Barabra was with Joan. Mary Aster should stay Jewel Mayhew. She did a fine job. I don't think Barbara could have improved that charactor.

    Thank you for posting this.
This interview is bringing back memories of an interview I read in a book, which also included an interview with Miss Crawford (circa 1965, discussing "I Saw What You Did" and her work for Pepsi-Cola.) Miss Stanwyck talked about "The Night Walker" and how Castle had purchased a book for her, entitled "The Sorcerers"...... That book was later made into a film with neither a Castle or Stanwyck connection in 1967 in the U.K., featuring Boris Karloff. i wish I could remember the author or the book of interviews. The author....John Kobal?
