It's mainly for getting powerful rings which improve your character stats (like attack speed, armour, attack damage etc.)

First You have to join an alliance which have all the basic building build up. After this you can claim your free gold nuggets from the Alliance Safe Daily.
(Number of Daily Gold Nuggets from Alliance depends upon Alliance Building Level and Alliance Members)
