Very John Barry-esque. The film has such a short end credits and music sequence- I felt too quickly whisked away from a magical wonderful fantasy world. 40 years on I watched it again and still feel the same. It’s those melancholic melodies and planned poignant moments that made this soundtrack and the film so enchanting.
This miniature piece takes us back to our childhoods, a fleeting time of innocence and wonder, we left like the wind to become cynical grown-ups.
0:00 Professor: "It's entirely possible that this is the end of your adventures in the wardrobe. But, only the BEGINNING of your adventures in Narnia." 😉
The most beautiful memory from my childhood.Ahhh this melody...brings me tears

My life is now complete - bury me now!! I have had this tune in my head for many years obviously after seeing the animation as a child. It's a very haunting and equally beautiful tune that has not lost any of its enchantment.
Haha I'm so glad you found it! It is a very haunting and beautiful tune! I've also loved it since childhood.
Thank you for uploading
It's funny how a little broadcast animated version of this could have one of the most beautiful OST pieces I've ever heard. Brings me to tears too.
My dad bought me the DVD for this movie when I was in 1st grade and I've loved it ever sense, much better than the newer love action movies they made!
Thanks for this. I always loved this as a child. So happy to of found the song again.
Thanks so much for sharing the soundtrack! I've never been able to find a copy and it's such a big nostalgia thing. It's such beautiful music.
WOW. Just.. Wow! Amazing contrast to detail but the melody remains the same. Incredible.
Beautiful! I love the music from this! :)
This is absolutely beautiful. I watched this version as a child many years ago.

Excellent. I've loved this ever since I was a child. Watched it EVERY Christmas, as I do now with my children. No chance of buying this album by any chance. or downloading it?
you can use a youtube to mp3 converter or buy on amazon
So powerful, to this day. Wow.
This is one of those melodies that just makes your heart jump - like Black Beauty theme - is it a childhood memory thing, or is this a kind of mind trick that makes us tingle?
Probably both. ☺
Simply Magical & Beautiful. Thank you to the talented composer Mr Michael J Lewis.

+MYNDZ IYE I wish this score had have been used on the film version. No other score could compare.
Michael. J. Lewis. Genius.
I can only imagine CS Lewis face after hearing this beautiful score
Thank you
What a beautiful music! So sad! So awesome!
Thank you for uploading this.
It came into my head decades after watching this and I'm so glad other people obviously felt the same way about the score
You're so welcome! I've loved this score since I was a child, and it was sooo hard to find, I knew I had to share it as soon as I got it! It's pure magic.
sure beats the new theme, even though the new films are good but they should of rematsered this main title, and yes, to what shevdiam siad, brings tears
I’ve been looking for this piece of music for ages! 😍😍😍
So glad you found it! It's one of my favorite film scores. ☺
TimeandMonotony My heart breaks when they’re riding their horses with this music playing, and it suddenly halts as they’re back in England. The magic over! 😭
This music makes me pine for Narnia
@@sairbearprincess I've always wanted to go to Narnia so bad!
About ten years ago there was a version of this tune here on youtube that someone had ripped from the DVD. It was a somewhat faster version than this, and more bombastic.
Still makes me cry at 50
I understand! I'm 32 and I recently rewatched this movie and am now rereading the books, and it's making me so nostalgic!
Once a king or queen of Narnia, always a king of queen of Narnia!
@@TimeandMonotony I will reread them all again soon..for maybe the 100th time 😅. After reconnecting with the piece a few years ago I decided to learn it on my electric piano with a string orchestra in the background. Amazing 😍
My favourite music, thank you :)
+cokiemix No problem! Always loved this soundtrack. :)
The Original and Best; can't find anymore... ;-(
+Brian FortyOz. Trance Definitely the best Narnia adaptation!
Una pieza musical única y magistral, me transportaste a mi niñez. Muchas gracias
+rubén danilo zamora olave ¡De nada! :)
When I hear this, I think of images of the English countryside.
I remember when my grandma bought me the disc ❤️
I’m thinking more about this theme and believe it’s the absolute best piece of music for a location reveal scene. For when the heroes reach the fabled land in their settings mythology. I’d love to see this music used in other movie like the wizard of oz or lord of the rings, edited together. Like how ocean man is edited at the end of movies.
It's so beautiful and magical, isn't it? ☺
Yes sir.
Ich vermisse diesen Film so sehr!! 😢
i remember having this on vhs 30 years ago
Yep. Heard this from the end credits.
Which time signature is this in?
It's an alternating 4/4 to 3/4 meter. (or perhaps 7/4, which is unusual but is used occasionally.)
Peter Zachos Yes, that 3/4 section in between each section is perhaps what makes it so appealing. It gives it a sort of drive, like a relentless emotion - a call to adventure. Beautiful piece
I made my apartment like Narnia
