One of my favourite places in the whole world, Staffa. A lone piper inside Fingal's was breathtakingly magical. Thanks for taking us there. I love how it appears you glide effortlessly through the waves... and the colour of the water is 👌
Hey Simon I remember on one of your videos you put a hole in your lovely strip wood canoe, if you ever want a sea kayak trip and camping on beaches over on the Isle of Man give me a shout would be awesome to link up with you, I built nicks kayak so I could put you in one of these for a couple days
@@bigpondkayaksThank you mate - that is very kind! I’m actually going to get my first taste of sea kayaking with Nick next summer hopefully, and I have a strong feeling I’m going to love it - might just take you up on that offer! 😁
Wow!! What a video. The music, the scenery, the colours and that pesky rock 🙈 Just about the best I've seen inside the cave. Makes me want to get back in my boat again.
Well done video, Nick! Aren’t sea kayakers privileged in their autonomy? No ferries or tourist boats to catch and paddle right where no one else gets to go. I am writing this not in triumph but in appreciation of our privilege to immerse ourselves in nature this way.
Fantastic. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. Followed you on Twitter as you made your way. Wishing you every success with future adventures.
That was one of the most amazing structures of columnar basalt I have ever seen. Now, if anyone asks what sort of rock put a hole in your kayak, you can tell them.

Loved that! Fingals cave is amazing! Glad you got the boat fixed, loved that you explored the cave FIRST though 😂. Cheers Nick!

Those caves are simply amazing
It’s one of my favourite places to kayak to, again and again.
Amazing footage of the cave 👍
Thank you.
Gorgeous Nick! Thank you for sharing this. I get sea sickness so this one place I was never able to visit. But now thanks to you I have! 🕊💙
Thank you Julie.

Thank you Pete. I thought I’d try adding music. I’m pleased you liked this. I hope you do get back into your boat. Very best wishes.
Wow, what a fantastic place.
It certainly is!
surreal and magical place, your calm is admirable, congratulations
Thank you and apologies for the very late reply.
So nice to see the cave, it’s on my bucket list that’s for sure 🎉 as for the kayak had to happen sooner or later 😅
You’ll be very welcome here any time Stephen.
Amazing!

Yes, we create our own good fortune and it certainly is a privilege to experience these moments. best wishes to you.

Thank you! You too!
Beautiful video, thank you Nick. I thought the best part was the stunning view inside the cave as you expertly reversed out.
Thank you too. The film makes the cave seem quite narrow when in reality there’s good room for manoeuvring. 😊
Great vid impresive veiw:}
Thank you.

Ha ha, indeed. It certainly was a sharp edge of a column stump.
Fascinated to ask how you filmed this? Drone?
I use an Insta360 x3 camera. It filmed in 360 degrees and the editing app enables me to create the films you see. Great fun.
Shame about holing the kayak, but it would seem you repaired it without too much difficulty.
Thanks, it was an easy fix and the result will probably last for quite a while.
