I would have liked to see it in regular speed being that I am new to using cricut. Great concept and idea but should probably keep in mind not everyone is advance skilled lol.
I've been thinking of doing a Live while I make some more 3D letters for that very reason. I just wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in that lengthy of a video. If you haven't subscribed, think about subscribing and ringing the notification bell so that you are notified. I really enjoyed making these letters and it is definitely time to make some more!
i have paid for the yearly subscription when i purchsed cricut maker. but these 3 d letters are not being purchased. are they not included in that package. kindly help
I’m having a hard time to make the letters 8” it’s says it’s too big for the size of the 12x12 cardstock, do you have any recommendations I could try? Thank you for the video!!!
Some letters in this series can’t get 8” tall because the edge pieces will extend beyond the 12” paper. The only suggestion that comes to mind is to use card stock or other material that is larger than 12” long and use a 12 x 24 mat.
Hi Carrel! The “C” gave me a little trouble too. I decided to just fold all of the corners and make sure that I only glued where the circles matched and the letter just came together. The single circle sides get matched up, the two double circles, etc. I haven’t done a more detailed video of assembly but thank you for that idea. I will look into putting that together. Hope that helped.
Hi Jenny! You will love your Cricut!! The crafting possibilities are endless! 😊 You will need the letter images are a part of the "Lori Whitlock 3D Alphabet" image set. - This letter set not a part of Cricut Access so you can either purchase the letters individually or purchase the whole image set, which is what I did so that I had all letters for any word I wanted to make. Materials - The thicker the card stock the better. I used the following for my project: * Cricut Metallic Kraft Board shiny - for 3D (Red) * Cricut Metallic Poster Board matte - for back of letter (Silver) * Cricut Sparkle Paper - for front of letter (Silver) >I also listed the tools I used in the description. **HELPFUL TIP** Etta James in a previous comment mentioned that using beans or sand in the letters will help weigh them down so they do not fall over. This tip will *definitely* help if using a lighter card stock or if the letters will be placed outdoors. My letters were made with kraft board and poster board so they were pretty sturdy, and I used my letters indoors so they held up really well. My son still has them up in his room for decoration. 🥰
Made a quick video to walk through how to find these letters as well as how to purchase full set of images. Click here to view: ua-cam.com/video/mPbj6flIS2Y/v-deo.html
Thank you for sharing this very helpful video! I know it’s a little old so hopefully you see this. How do you know what letters the pieces go to when cutting a bunch of letters together?
HA! Great question Zakia! After the images were cut, I looked at each image grouping on my canvas in Design Space to match and separate the cuts into a stack for each letter. Thank you for asking. I have to remember to include those type of details, especially because I even remember feeling lost looking at a stack of cuts. Hope this explanation is helpful. Thank you for watching my video. :)
That is a great idea! If just using regular card stock then it is very likely that they could struggle staying upright. The sand (or beans) could definitely help to hold them upright. I used Cricut Foil Poster Board and Cricut Sparkle Paper and they are pretty sturdy. My son uses them in his room for decorations and they haven't fallen over but if they do, I'll have to look into adding sand to weight them down.
Melissaia Daniel Hi Melissaia! I used red metallic poster board for the base and silver Cricut sparkle paper for the “C”. I found that thicker paper make the letters more sturdy.
I'm in Cricut Design Space and I can't find all the letters---like an A. Why don't they have all the letters? Is there another place to find the letter files?
It is a little different way to search since the recent update to CDS. I find it by inserting image and typing “letter” in search. Then click on the “+” next to Type on the left hand side where the filters are and click to choose “3D”. All of the 3D letters and numbers should be in the results. Hope this helps! Good luck with your project! 😃
I loved the video! I understood everything, thank you!!

Thank you for responding to my inquiry. I will try what you suggested.
Hi, I’m trying to do the letter “C” and can’t figure out how to form. Do you have the slower version of your tutorial available?

Hello I tried what you suggested to find the other letters but they are not there. Is there a way to purchase all 26 letters?

Omg I didn’t even think of that 🥴 thank you so much for responding! Those have been so fun to make!
My pleasure :) They are fun and come out great!
But you should of shown us how to do it 3D FORM slowly.
Don't forget to insert beans or sand to keep from falling over!!!!

What type of paper did you used?

TFS, cute idea. Only problem is the letters are $2 a piece ! Geez, and I subscribe to Access.
