Good Governance is concerned with the processes for making and implementing decisions, thereby ensuring raise in the level of governance, as well as eradicating the evils in it, whereas New Public Service is a citizen oriented concept which postulates that the main role of public servants should be to serve the citizens or help the citizens in meeting their shared interests, rather than to control or steer them. However, both believe that citizens should not be treated as customers/ consumers but citizens only.
