When you sell to a pawn shop, you are selling at wholesale price, not retail price. therefore, you can never get street value for anything because they have to spend money to market it and then make a net profit. Nothing wrong with selling to a pawn shop -- it's easier than dealing with the general public. But expect only 30-50% of what street value would be.
If that item actually was gaved to her by Elvis Presley, and a Elvis expert (like me) could confirm it was the real deal, then it's worth more than 20.000 grands, that's for sure! - And Rick who is familiar with auctions, 100% knows that most items related to Elvis isn't cheap at all, especially not the items he wore on photographs... Of course is $400,000 WAY way too much. If I as a hardcore Elvis fan should put a realistic price on it, then I would say it's worth between $33.000 - $82.500, I base the price on Elvis wore the item on a very famous picture (in the Elvis Presley universe) I guess it could be sold for about $40.000 if it's private, and outside an auction.
