This track has been laying on my hard drive since 2015. I wanted to do a vocal track with a professional singer and recorded demo vocals myself. But then things in life happened and it sort of got lost. Now 6 years later I dug it out again to finally finish it. The demo vocals weren't too bad after all so I kept them.

The vocals sound like they were meant for the track! In my opinion they're not "not too bad"; they sound just right. You have a pleasant voice. Good thing you decided to sing them yourself. BTW, this takes me back to the TranceAddict forums back in the early 2000s! Everybody's goal was to sound like this! It was the peak. Next was getting signed to a label, which was the peak of the peak, ha-ha!

I like you voice in this! Very nostalgic sounding. The bass in this reminds me of Mikkas a little bit from around that time and I love that. Great job with this one!
Further thoughts. Your vocals are absolutely fine. If I was remxing this i would have added a teensy bit of noticeable reverb and added a classic 'drop-ish dripping reverb refrain' that repeated the 'I want to know why' stanza. Do keep on the hunt for a female vocalist tho, 'cause that's what i keep hearing as this wonderful song echos in my tiny mind....

Thanks! Not sure if the X5D was a statement or a question, but if it was the question: the Chord Synth in the main part is a mixture of X5D and Yamaha AN1x. :)
