I actually looked that up a few years ago. Combine the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB; every team except 1 team was in one of the 89 largest cities in the country. Except Green Bay which came in at the 189th largest city in the country
Doesn't hurt that Green Bay IS football as well. There is only football there. No distractions for players, no clubs, no partying....only football. Because of that, it doesn't attract divas who seem to care more about being seen outside of the sport than anything else. You'll never see a Packer shoot himself in the leg at a club. Stuff like that matters.
Barely 50% completion.. less than 200 yards, meh accuracy, frequent instances of lack of vision. Coaching is protecting themselves by not asking too much of the QB
There are Packer fans born in the early 90s that could realistically become grandparents before they see their Packs without an elite QB on the roster. That fact is just insane to me.
This is why the Green Bay Packers are the real, America's team. Slow down now Stafford has always been a good quarterback, going to the Rams with McVeigh was the final hurdle. And there was at least one saints player that wanted to be there and that was Saunders. Saunders is a packer in a saints uniform.
Normally don't listen to Cowherd from past experiences, but the points you made about owners is 110% true. Bad orgs stay bad largely because of the owner.
The Green Bay Packers are a well-run organization. They know how to draft and when to move on from certain players. Thirty-seven playoff appearances are remarkable. Thank you, Green Bay! Go Pack Go.
And what a coincidence the Packers CEO had his retirement ceremony last night and most people prob have never seen him and Mark still talked less than Da Bears President on any given Monday in front of the podium.
GO PACK GO, Defense is coming along! The depth at receiver and running back, an O line that has played together for most of the season. Love is cutting down on the gunslinger mentality. LaFleur coaching schemes and a front office that doesn’t seem to miss on picks. But more importantly, PACKERS develop players and this team is young and getting on a good roll for January.
I "almost" worry he's reigned it in too much....choosing not to throw to a wide open Watson for a walk in TD yesterday was head scratching. I mean, we scored anyway, but he was looking right at Watson while there wasn't a defender within 10 yards of him. He needs to find a good balance
@@1_underthesun I thought the same thing as I was watching it.. But watch his post game presser, he explained what happened and it's not as bad as it looked.
The one area not having an owner has hurt is when the QBs get to big for the team and there isn't a billionaire to check their egos. Other than that you finally figured it out.

Carr is the REAL thing. A true NFL QB. He has all the tools with the current roster. All our 1st string players are injured. Carr makes them all work out. They thrive with Carr, cause he knows how to make them look good. Not to mention they have confidence in his professional leadership! Mend and heal up in the offseason. Then with Physical endurance training and muscle and ligament strengthening, they won't be prone to injuries like when they come up to the manhandling teams like the Eagles next year. Strength and endurance is the answer for the Saints. Do that and we'll go all the way!
Even some fellow Packer fans are trying to criticize Love's performance lol the guy was letting the running backs eat. If he was a stat padder like Burrow and Allen he, too, would be an MVP candidate.
Unfortunately, the problem with being a fan of most NFL teams is that you have to essentially be a fan of the owner and their decisions. Regional pride doesn't come into it. It's a product put out by an owner. That's why it's refreshing to have Green Bay where it really is still about a regional fan concept and it's not just about one particular owner's management or mismanagement. More NFL teams should go public like that.
Efficiency matters. Throwing the ball less is never a problem if you balance it out with a phenomenal run game. Going 20/25 for 250 yards is always always better than going 34/50 for 400 yards.
I’m a Packers fan and what I find incredibly puzzling is at the same time people are pointing out how great they looked against the Saints they’re saying the Saints stood no chance in this game at all but especially on offense because they were missing QB1 RB1 and WR1, the 49ers stink with Purdy and he didn’t play when the Packers beat them and they should have lost to the Bears Jacksonville and the Texans. I will be thrilled if the hype proves true but….
This has been the year of the free agent running back. Top 3 signings top 3 backs in the league, each team is a contender. How did Vegas let Jacobs walk, I don’t know but I’m glad they did
None of those three teams that lost an RB made the playoffs last year. All 3 that gained were already competing. Derrick, Saquon, and Josh all went to a better situation with 3 teams determined to run
Loves one of the best in the league. They could’ve had him throw it way more, but the run game was too good to pass up. Why even throw it with your superstar qb when the run game is doing so well. He got a nice game to sit back and enjoy a win. We need him to go off against Minnesota though. Go Pack Go 🧀

But the plan was to start Love earlier than they did. They only kept him on the bench because Rodgers took them to the NFC championship against the Bucs
It’s easy to say Colin adjusted his take w new information but after like 5 games he called Jordan a backup quarterback. There’s adjusting and then there’s just being way to reactionary early on in a process. Saying he just reacted to new information is a cop out
The most lopsided game of the year was the Lions vs the Jaguars lol the Jags had their starters and still got demolished. The Lions pit up 645 yards to Jacksonville's 180 and beat them by 46 points.
When I see A Rod and Jordan love does some moves from him, but he learns his own somewhere. Maybe he's watching videos from other quarterbacks I can see him looking at those kind of quarterbacks and a pretty cool ones 💚💛💚💛

Quarterbacking needs PATIENCE. I am convinced there are many great quarterbacks whose careers were cut short by angst around them to immediately become great. Luckily Green Bay are the best at developing their talented QBs and allow them to make mistakes
Crazy to think this pass offense seems off just a bit and sometimes looks clunky and off touch just a bit and the packers have scores 30+ in 5 straight….they get 100% dialed in nobody is beating them
And you don't see head coaches and gms coming and going from GB.Consistancy with the team if your a qb your probably going to have the same head coach for most of your career unless something drastic happens
I have to dig deeper, but Chicago has had 4 QB coaches in just six years, basically matching their offensive coordinator turn over. None of them were with the team before hand.
I sometimes struggle to say he's good. I feel like Malik Willis would have the same record if he was the starter. Packers just run the ball like crazy and don't rely on the QB a ton like they used to
I think we should start Malik Willis for the rest of the season we're in the playoffs there's no need to have Jordan love out there anymore until playoff time. I don't think Malik Willis is any different from Jordan love he is really good too we have two great talented quarterbacks
For more proof look at what they do to qbs other teams gave up on and turned him into a starter capable of leading an offense in freaking WEEKS. Looking at you Willis.
Colin's an idiot, the drafting of arodj and the LuvDuv are astronomically different. Arodj fell off the cliff and the pack grabbed him because he was in free fall; then the LuvDuv was 180 opposite. But, both had a first ballot HOF in front of them.
I have to disagree, it's Jordan Love's team. He was always special even as he sat on the bench, if you followed the Parkers, you would know he was next!!
Teams with bad owners typically have bad quarterbacks, so yes. That's why teams like the Bears, Browns and Jets are always twirling around in obscurity.
Look at it like race car the mechanics we need work on the frame and brakes before we put on the track. The owner of the car has an ego and is usually a businessman. Wants a return on investment will put pressure on mechanics get it the car out there. The Packers the mechanics decide when the cars ready no pressure. Bad organizations ruin there cars when they could be great. Baker Mayfield great example.
Glad the packers are winning now, but would have rather seen them do something then, with what they had. Its like they went into rebuild, with an mvp at the time qb.
There's a reason the nfl has successful offenses by running the ball first than the league had suffessful offendes with the greatest team on turf. It was that 1 team that was really successful. The offense in the nfl has always been more successful longer in the history of the nfl by passing 9ff of running game
It should be common sense. Your team is only as good as your o line. History shows it and this year shows it. Don’t Mayer how good your QB is he needs an online, not only for pass pro but to the run the ball.
Don't anoint Love as the new Favre/Rodgers. LaFluer is doing all he can to minimize Love's throws over the last 5 games because of his inaccuracy and willingness to throw into a crowd of defenders. That's why Jacobs is getting so many reps they don't trust Love. He pre-snap determines who he is going to throw to regardless of whether they are open or not. He seems to dislike going thru his progressions and throwing to the open man. He has lazy feet unwilling to align his feet with where he's throwing the ball which causes most of his inaccuracy.
He can make some really good throws but you're right he can be very inaccurate. He is a system quarterback who would probably be just average anywhere else.
Yeah he had the hot and cold season and ended their season with an ego throw...and got paid for it. Rodgers had at least won and proved he was the guy (super bowl and year before losing 51-45 to the facemask seen around the world cept by the refs) in overtime. Love's proven he's mid level at best and capable of throwing amazing touchdowns or bonehead interceptions equally....if not even slightly towards the interceptions.
That might be the case but I still rather have the Pack being run orientated first since its more sustainable. Rodgers and no run game has only lead to 1 ring.

Seeing Colin’s 180 from when he was dumping on Love needs to be studied
Only in the beginning, he gave a time limit to see if he has it and by the end of that time he proved himself last year
It's called adjusting your opinion when new information presents itself. You should learn to do the same.
It also matches his 180 with Purdy.
he's only consistent with bad QBs cue his love for sam darnold... dude prayed for 5 years until it happened
He also thought Matt Lafleuer was a bad hire.
I am an owner of the Packers and we let the football people handle the football and we just cheer when they win.
It's a thing of beauty! I am a proud owner as well. I thank God I was born into a Packer fan family.
