After Edward VIII abdicated, Albert wanted to show the continuity so took the regnal name of George after his father, but our monarchy is about duty and service and there isn't a TYPE of Consort, a Consorts role is to support the Monarch and DELIVER what, shes doing her job as its supposed to be done as is Camilla if you ever saw Prince Phillip at work, that is what a Consort does they will find different causes but the main role is the same, supporting the Monarch and the only other future Consort whos "walked" away is Diana. she wouldn't have made a good Consort she made her job about herself as for William and Catherine picking up any broken pieces, there are none to pick up as a younger sibling, harry knew his role was only minor, the attention would have eventually reduced he would have eventually been like Anne and Edward when l was growing up it was all the Queen's children who got all the attention from the press, but new generations of senior royals are born l think Meghan hadn't realised she would be so low in the hierachy

I have mentioned numerous times in prior posts my lack of sycophancy, be it towards H&M, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge or any other royal. This notion that they are beyond criticism is daft. Catherine, has been critiqued for being lazy, for never having had a credible job, for being middle class, for doing nothing more than waiting for William. In the modern world a Consort’s role - apart from supporting the Monarch in the ways that you have described, is to also be dynamic, to inspire, to show a level of character and personality; sadly social media and its global reach dictates this. You cite Prince Phillip, well from what I have read, he didn’t exactly fit the mould of the ‘dutiful’ Consort to which you describe. Had he, he would’ve been quite happy with his lot once married. No, he bullied our Queen to make him important, and significant. (She had to make him a Prince did she not?) The type of Consort he became was one who wanted to dictate to the Queen. He was responsible for bringing the media into the family, for opening the Monarchy up to such public scrutiny, which back fired, an act which some might argue was akin to releasing the genie from its bottle with dire consequences. Also, how do you know that Diana would not have made a good Consort? I doubt any 19 year old marrying into such an institution would’ve been fully aware of the expectations placed upon them; without the guidance and direction from one’s husband, or his family is it any wonder she looked beyond the family in the hope of being less bored? We wouldn’t encourage or expect a 19 year old to take such a step as Diana did today - knowing the benefits of experiencing a bit more of life, so why expect her to be perfect back in the early 1980s? There is no question that she acted out, that her deep sense of hurt drove her to be somewhat malicious and puerile at times, however, were her husband not degrading her with another woman, it is highly likely she would’ve felt supported and thus behaved less as she did, I would go as far to say she would’ve been alive today...speculation of course. It is my summation, based on recent events that W&C along with other royals will have to pick up the pieces concerning H&M. I admire your positivity but, don’t be fooled, Harry behaving as he has, walking away from his duties as a senior royal has hurt the Firm more than they are prepared to publicly acknowledge. I am quietly confident that they will ride this latest storm, but we must be mindful, the Monarch is 93 and though formidable, she needed to rely on the younger seniors as she continued winding down. H&M’s selfishness has wounded her and her family. Finally, Catherine met with the force that was MM needed to raise her game. This is what I meant by needing to see and hear her. Many people had not heard her speak. Her shyness is of no consequence, as a Consort in the modern world where it is possible she might become Queen by the end of this decade, it is time she set her stall out. That was my point. So very proud of how DoC represents the BRF. To come into the Royal family as an 'outsider/commoner' and to adapt as she has is amazing. Catherine is beyond stunning. She is so graceful, beautiful, and I love listening to her talk. I could listen to the British accent for hours. She is so involved with what she does, and she is so committed. I love watching her with children, she is so hands on with them, and really, really truly cares about each and every one.

Catherine represents stability, duty and consistency. These qualities are vital more so now than ever. She has to show us what she really stands for, what type of Consort she will be. We need to see her, hear her and most importantly she must deliver. Where others have promised much and walked away, it is left to William & Catherine to pick up the majority of those broken pieces. took the regnal name of George after his father, but our monarchy is about duty and service
and there isn't a TYPE of Consort, a Consorts role is to support the Monarch
and DELIVER what, shes doing her job as its supposed to be done as is Camilla
if you ever saw Prince Phillip at work, that is what a Consort does
they will find different causes but the main role is the same, supporting the Monarch
and the only other future Consort whos "walked" away is Diana. she wouldn't have made a good Consort
she made her job about herself
as for William and Catherine picking up any broken pieces, there are none to pick up
as a younger sibling, harry knew his role was only minor, the attention would have eventually reduced
he would have eventually been like Anne and Edward

Perhaps if you read my comment again putting to one side your obvious pomposity you might be able to discern what is a reasonable critique, made without malice. I have mentioned numerous times in prior posts my lack of sycophancy, be it towards H&M, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge or any other royal.
This notion that they are beyond criticism is daft. Catherine, has been critiqued for being lazy, for never having had a credible job, for being middle class, for doing nothing more than waiting for William. In the modern world a Consort’s role - apart from supporting the Monarch in the ways that you have described, is to also be dynamic, to inspire, to show a level of character and personality; sadly social media and its global reach dictates this.
You cite Prince Phillip, well from what I have read, he didn’t exactly fit the mould of the ‘dutiful’ Consort to which you describe. Had he, he would’ve been quite happy with his lot once married. No, he bullied our Queen to make him important, and significant. (She had to make him a Prince did she not?) The type of Consort he became was one who wanted to dictate to the Queen. He was responsible for bringing the media into the family, for opening the Monarchy up to such public scrutiny, which back fired, an act which some might argue was akin to releasing the genie from its bottle with dire consequences.
Also, how do you know that Diana would not have made a good Consort? I doubt any 19 year old marrying into such an institution would’ve been fully aware of the expectations placed upon them; without the guidance and direction from one’s husband, or his family is it any wonder she looked beyond the family in the hope of being less bored?
We wouldn’t encourage or expect a 19 year old to take such a step as Diana did today - knowing the benefits of experiencing a bit more of life, so why expect her to be perfect back in the early 1980s? There is no question that she acted out, that her deep sense of hurt drove her to be somewhat malicious and puerile at times, however, were her husband not degrading her with another woman, it is highly likely she would’ve felt supported and thus behaved less as she did, I would go as far to say she would’ve been alive today...speculation of course.
It is my summation, based on recent events that W&C along with other royals will have to pick up the pieces concerning H&M. I admire your positivity but, don’t be fooled, Harry behaving as he has, walking away from his duties as a senior royal has hurt the Firm more than they are prepared to publicly acknowledge. I am quietly confident that they will ride this latest storm, but we must be mindful, the Monarch is 93 and though formidable, she needed to rely on the younger seniors as she continued winding down. H&M’s selfishness has wounded her and her family.
Finally, Catherine met with the force that was MM needed to raise her game. This is what I meant by needing to see and hear her. Many people had not heard her speak. Her shyness is of no consequence, as a Consort in the modern world where it is possible she might become Queen by the end of this decade, it is time she set her stall out. That was my point. No hate or malice intended. 🇬🇧

Ive seen so many other royal videos, some are hard to watch i must say, their pupils cant even look at them nor sit with them, while giving interview one in particular the interviewer sat on the floor. But in a way if thats their culture and they dont oblige to it thats fine though. #the fact that Kate sat down not on the chair while one of the teacher chat with her from the chair, thats lovely. So very proud of how DoC represents the BRF. To come into the Royal family as an 'outsider/commoner' and to adapt as she has is amazing.
