I don't think us North Americans fully appreciated the contributions made by this couple, partly because we were too busy loving Torville and Dean uncritically. B&B changed the sport of Ice Dancing completely--with the speed, precision and complexity we had not seen before.
a different approach for sure and although entertaining fast and captivating if you look close there is alot of 2 footed skating and frantic movement but they were unique for sure and very entertaining they were actually 3rd in the freedance behind the americans blumberg seibert

Natalia is obviously a talented skater, but Andrei is mismatched as her partner. She did ALL the work. Their routines are just too frenetic and lack good aesthetics. Too much two footed skating and hand waving and awkward, unattractive poses. Their 1985 free dance to Carmen is a gem, but nothing else they did was very good choreographically. History will judge them harshly.
