Bentancur and Udogie should have been subbed at halftime both were awful.......Udogie was at fault for all three goals...the first goal he should have cleared....the second goal is his responsibility because he was the defender facing the attacker.....the third was Udogie, then Bentancur and finally Romero.
Shocking in game management from Ange cost the team. He stood there like a deer in the headlights not knowing what to do. Obviously the Brighton coach changed things up and Ange has no Plan B. He has never faced top coaches before and he is completely exposed. It's how we play mate is getting tiresome.
What absolute clown narrative is that. He was probably in disbelief at how the players came out like that after half time, should have had the game done and dusted

The shocking truth is an all out attacking coach like Ange is playing Timo freaking Werner for 90 minutes in 2024 while a defensive coach like Conte got Eric Dier & Davinson Sanchez& Lenglet anchored the defense! I think the defending was shocking cuz the players needed to be rotated more vs ferencvaros. Cuti and Porro played 3 games in 8 days, Udogie just came back from injury, and VDV has played every crucial fixture for us. This is Dragusin's fault for getting suspended in the EL making Cuti have to play in bulgaria, Ange's fault for not registering Spence or Reggie in EL making Porro have to play in bulgaria, and Levy's for not buying a backup left-sided defender meaning Udogie was thrown in the deep end straight after his injury.

Romero is a great attacking defender but forgets how to defend when under pressure . Our defence got badly bullied second half showed all those old traits
I think if we get a good offer for Romero we should let him go and get a defender who can read the game and take control of his team mates . Hes too inconsistent

I agree that Udoige played his worst game in a Spurs shirt yesterday but I still think he's not as bad as people think of him as a defender last season when he was fully fit he actually helped us recover the ball a few times. ATM he's not fully fit. He's just come back from an operation on an ankle injury. Ange should also take some of the blame for this as he didn't take him out earlier instead of playing an unfit Udoige for the full 90 minutes.
Need to learn how to defend a lead. Brighton rightly packed their defence after taking the lead. Spurs under Ange never do. No Plan B.

Udogie was atrocious!! Including the rest of the back 4. And in regard to Romero this wasn’t the first time he has fallen asleep. He has cost us at least two games….. it’s a worry.
Not sure why the armband is given to anyone as none of that lot know how to lead. I’m intrigued to know what is said during the huddles before each kick off. Clearly not a lot.

9:00 please watch the game back. Kulu didn’t make a successful pass to a team mate after the 20 minute mark. He reverted to old Kulu in the second half, running into trouble, losing the ball every time he got it and out of about ten attempted passes he found a spurs player once. He’s been our best player lately but he was turgid in the second half

madder can't play fulltime game. His attitude of selfishness is the primary issue. He's not as good a passer as I had assumed. Madder never thinks to pass and always takes a shot when the opportunity arises. Thus, since his debut in Tottenham, we have missed a lot of opportunities. I have no idea. Why this guy takes all the corner kicks and free kicks still eludes me. I don't expect much from his set-peace play. zero expectation.
