THANK YOU💕💕 I just found your channel and watched the boxes you use in your craft room. I just lost my husband and he had several old small and bigger box and tool boxes that, I was getting ready to donate. Your video has made me realize I can use these boxes to store many other things in them not only tools. You’ve made me very happy and I’m sure is happy know I’m not going to get rid of his antique boxes. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you, Janet. I selected it because it really makes those lovely old sewing machine drawers pop out. I love being able to see, and use, those bits of history 😊
I love how you store all your laces. Those old spools are fabulous. Of course, so are those tins. I think one of the wonderful takeaways for me from your space is your use of the color black. It’s sort of the grounding for everything. But it really does make your antiques pop so well. Thank you very much for sharing all your tips, and inspirations! Hugs ❤️🤗
I agree, black is a great grounding color for a workspace. It’s not for everyone, but I really wanted the materials and vintage pieces to stand out. Thank you ❤
Cori your craft room is so awesome. Everything is so accessible to so you grab it easily for your projects. I love how you store some of your laces on the wall. TFS🌴💕
I thoroughly enjoy your craftroom shares. There’s so much to learn. I especially love how you repurpose so many items and turn them into containers that give your room such a uniquely beautiful look.
Thank you for both of your videos in this collab. Your room in black is striking! You have inspired me to work with a colour theme in mine. I am taking advantage of my tongue and groove pine walls and dark wood plank floors instead of trying to work against them. Again, thank you!
Hello Cori! I have just found you at exactly the right time. I am currently trying to organise my nest - and like you, have a combo of paper and textiles. Thank you so so much for giving me so many ideas that will transform my practice. Sincerely, Kate 😊❤❤
Hi Cori!!! As always, a wonderful video!!! You are so organized! It's amazing how you have so many catagories just for your lace. Hope school is going well. I have enjoyed your videos so much!!! ❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing your craft room with us Cori. I love the vintage theme. You are so lucky over there in the US with the Estate sales etc. we don’t seem to have many here in Australia and antique shops are so expensive. Even craft shows are quite expensive over here. Anyway love your room.
Thank you and dang. I've never been to Australia, but how lucky are you to live in such a beautiful place. I would imagine there are some lovely vintage pieces native to AU that could work 😊
Fantastic Cori ! I do something similar to your knitting needles and lace storage but with small tension rods….yours is so much more creative and attractive, I think I’ll be thrifting knitting needles now 😁
I want to come live in your craft room LOL. When I'm out thrifting and see an enamel ware pan I always think of you! Thank you for sharing with us today.
You have an amazing craft room. I fold my lace on cards that I’ve cut to fit into boxes similar to your bin. I love all the things you showed in this video. Very inspiring
We are all impressed by your great craft room and the factor that so organized and you know where everything is. I have a challenge because I do both junk journaling and scrapbooking and they overlap so I have a real issue of organization or lack there of.
I started with scrapbooking about 30 years ago and I still have a [plethora of scrapbooking materials and items. I love that both have items unique to them as well as their own bits and pieces 😊
I love scraps ❤❤❤ I also wrap eyelash trim around a small pnched out tag made from paper pad covers. I put a ring binder clip to put assorted colors togeter and then i give them to other crafters. It can hang anywhere .
Such a warm and inviting room filled with oldies and goodies well organized! I use enamelware also and I have the same covered one with the red edging, I’ve had it for years! There’s just something cozy about using old things….Thanks for sharing!
It is cozy, isn't it? I love how much character old things add to a space and they do inspire me to create as they do their jobs and house creative bits 😊
Awesomely presented!! I'm making progress and when able have watched 4 videos of DGO 25' including yours! Hope to adapt your scraps storage idea!! Genious and this way will certainly use-it-up!! Need to figure out IDEAL storage bin! Will share what I end up doIng! Gotta "FOCUS' :) BTW 💖your nails!! Abrazos!!
Merci beaucoup! I love that you're working on your space, taking charge of it and determining what will work best for you. That is always a happy thing!
Hi Cori, I just discovered your channel yesterday and I'm so glad I did. Like you I have a huge lace / linen collection and I'm excited to try some of your ideas. Thank you so much!! I'm hoping you can help me with a question...I started watching so many of your videos and now I can't find the one I'm enquiring about. You were showing us all the pages you'd made for a journal but you had not attached them yet. You made a black folded accordion style spine and then showed us how to measure about a 1/4" out and then glue the pages to the spine. My question is do you have a video showing us how to make that black paper folded spine?? I'd love to try that that technique. Thank you so much!! Sorry this is so long!
Cori Thank You for sharing. I dump my scraps into a tote....Bad for me...never seem to use them I must separate.........your room is Amazing and your creations are also.
Love all the antique items. I use some sewing machine boxes too but only have a couple. What are the long dowels with the lace from? That’s a super idea. Thanks for sharing!
We all love your enamel ware. I sometimes find the pans but never find the lids. In fact I didn’t know the lids existed! Any ideas on where to source them? I’m guessing you’ll say antique stores. But if we’ve already tried that…
Every once in a while I'll find one at an antique store. I've found a few at estate sales and a few more at an antique auction (I've only ever attended the one in Shipshewana, IN. I would LOVE to attend more!). I think the best luck I've had are vendor booths at junk shows.
I've had good luck at junk shows at varying vendor booths. I've found a few at antique malls, some at estate sales and others at antique auctions. I suppose ebay would also have some, though that might be more spendy.
Thank you for sharing your craft room organization tips! What do you use to organize your wooden stamps? Do you build your storage or does someone else build it? I believe you said you did in your last organizing video. I would have no idea how to build shelves. Your room is amazing! ❤
Thank you. My wooden stamps live (mostly) in shallow fabric bins on the shelf in my closet. They're sorted by theme (flowers and nature, words, animals, characters and kids, holidays and seasons) so when I want or need something, I just pull out that bin and rifle through it. Most of my stamps are not mounted, and those are in antique metal tins, much the same way everyone stores their sets. I do have an old printers tray that stores some of the smaller stamps, but I purchased that. And building shelves? Mine are VERY basic and I used a Kreg jig and watched YT videos.
@ what type paint did you use? Flat, Satin. Semigloss? Thank you for answering for many questions. Again thank you for your paper , lace and linen set up tour!
Journals, ephemera, cards (but rarely the modern style of card. Usually use old stuff on them), scrapbooks, planners and whatever takes my fancy. Lately it's been HP Lego 😊
@@CoriDahmen Thank You! I do a ton of mixed-media, & a lot of the same projects that you do. I am also, the Director of a Nonprofit Ministry called Grace Card Ministry.
Your craft room is such a beautiful place to be in. The way you have stored everything in antique bins/spools/drawers is absolutely stunning. It must be such a joy to just go and sit in there, let alone create in there. Thank you so much for showing us how you did this. Well done! Kathleen 4theloveofstitch 💕🪡🧵🎉🇨🇦
Your spools are really pretty! I don’t have the space for that type of storage but yours is very well organized. I’m in the collab, too, and I’m really enjoying seeing what others are doing. Thanks for sharing. ~Kathy from Camano Island xo @AtticTreasuresEtc

I’m so sorry for your loss, and I’m happy to hear that you’ve got a new idea on ways to use your husband’s things. Bless you ❤
The black, I love the black and how it makes everything pop and easier to locate. It is nice how the tins are stackable. This is inspiring, thanks.
Thank you, Janet. I selected it because it really makes those lovely old sewing machine drawers pop out. I love being able to see, and use, those bits of history 😊

Cori, I am so jealous of how organised you are. ❤. I want to be like you when I grow up x

@ oh definitely, I love antiques but I’m not able to find anything like that around where I live…
Beautifully organized. I need to get my craft supplies out where I can see it. Out of sight, out of mind. Thank you for sharing.....I'm inspired.
Mission accomplished. I love that you're inspired to use your things and create!
Loved the scissors in the container on the side of the shelf for lace😊
I do appreciate having a pair right there when I need to snip off a piece 😊
I love how you store your lace on wooden spools.
Thank you. Seeing them laying about makes me happy ❤

Thanks so much! 😊
I love your vintage organization system. It is so creative!
I'm so glad you like it! I love how well it works for storing the variety of things we "need" for our junk journals 😊
Love it, I've been frantically taking notes on this one and your earlier one and my paper storage is my next challenge, thank you Cori 🥰🥰🥰
I have complete faith in you Mandy. You will make your creative space perfect for you!

Why is it that stopring and seeing old lace just makes us happy? It truly is amazing how scraps of vintage thin stuff can make our day 😊

I'm already excited by the needles holding old wooden thread spools
I just inherited quite a few of spools and knitting needles
Excellent! I bet you'll have fun putting them to work 😊
