There are four buttons. The first on the left is the power buttons, and it has 3 fan settings. The second button controls how many jets spray (,from 1 to 3 from 5). The third button controls the ambient light which is in the water tank. The last button is a timer from 1 to 3 to 6 hours.
Make sure you are using regular tap water. Don't use distilled water or mineral water because those can cause the jets to get clogged. Also, make sure your DC Wal-Mart is powerful enough to run the unit. A wall wart with insufficient power can also cause the jets to not work properly as well as cause the fan to not run at full speed.

Yes it did. Does even better with ice water
Can u turn off the mist function. That looks messy
@gorymarty56 it's just a fine mist of water. Not messy at all. And it helps to cool me down.
