This video covers a "Must Have" GoPro mount and probably my most used GoPro mount in 2022. This neck mount from Telesin can give you the same style POV that you can get with a chest mount but in my opinion, it is more comfortable and convenient. This mount has become an essential part of my workflow and how I create content for personal use, my UA-cam channel, and social media. You can mount other cameras in this mount such as DJI Action 2 and Action 3, even a smartphone.

This is much more user friendly than those chest straps we have for our GoPro, those things were murder to get on and off. I may have to pick one of these up, they are very affordable. Thanks for showing us this product Shawn,

I own this 1 months ago, man this is bananas, no more hold the camera while cycling, driving, and traveling. You can use this as mini tripod for action cam.

You are definitely going to like it. Just try and get an extension for it if you can especially if you’re gonna be using it for filming B roll POV it just makes it a little nicer that you can see what you’re filming.

It’s a pretty handy Mount.
But when u ride over bumps the camera will jump up
It doesn’t actually move all that much. As mentioned it’s not good for every type of ruder or scenario.

Shawn, where could I find one of those extensions? I have kind of a large neck and in some of my footage my beard creeps into the top of my shot. That extension should fix that.

I purchased it. It’s from an old GoPro accessory called GoPro jam. I don’t think they sell it anymore.

This looks great! Do you know if the GoPro quick disconnect mount has female 1/4 threads? That would be perfect to switch from the neck mount to a selfie stick.

Are used. The extension came with a mount called GoPro jam. Unfortunately they don’t sell it anymore but if you search on Amazon, there is a third-party version available. It has the extension with a C clamp I just detach the C clamp and connected it to the finger mount on the neck Mount. And it works beautifully if you need to film and frame shots.
I encountered problem with this product. After 8 hours of usage [2 - 3 times turn clockwise to unlock it], it already lost the locking power. It is easy to unlock with a soft push to turn clockwise. Anyone have same problem?
I bought it on ebay and it comes to me today, I already want to use it to see the POV of a barber.

Just ordered one to use with my Osmo Action 3. From before I have used a cheap plastic that doesn't even fit my neck when I have jacket all the way up to my neck. Will be great for my POV shots.
Indeed, it is so cheap plastic ones in the past and did not find them very useable. This one can mold in shape just keep in mind you may opt to use some sort of extension with it. I found it makes it more versatile.

Yes, that should work. You may need to use a small extension depending on how you want it angled.

I didn’t even realize that there were two versions. This would be the original when it first came out, so I’m assuming the smaller size
When I attach the phone mount the set screw of the tripod mount sticks through the rubber cushions (either one) in the mount unless I use the tightening mount to hold it off. But then I can't count on the setup being tight enough to hold the phone. What combo of mounts do I use to prevent this? Telesin doesn't provide instructions on how to use their mounts.
I think those accessories are kind of an afterthought probably the cheapest they could get. There definitely are better third-party phone mounts on Amazon. If that’s some thing you’re gonna be using the lot that was still mount directly onto this neck mount.

It’s part of the old GoPro mount called “the jam” I don’t think opera sells it anymore, but there are some knock off version available on Amazon. I ordered a second generic one and it works just fine as well.
I was convinced at the 2:20 mark. I've been trying to come up with something besides the chest mount, which I find fairly uncomfortable as a woman.

They’re both good products but personally I have been using this one more lately. It is my preferred method. This is a newer product but it’s very convenient.

Hey, which mount should I use for Car POV Videos like the UA-camr "TedWard"
I think the Telsin Neck Mount is to wide under my eyes and I can not capture the road, only the steering wheel.
Perhaps a head strap mount. If you do go with her head strap, check out the Telesin one. Much more comfortable than the official GoPro one.

When I ordered the two additional ones they came with the phone holder. They must’ve change the package then you can buy them separately for a few dollars. The one that comes with it it’s pretty cheap. There are more durable ones.
I am looking for a neck mount for my DJI OSMO Action 4, would you still recommend this Telesin Neck Mount or would you recommend another brands?
I do believe you have to update the Home manually. But you can set it to where the controller is.

Yes.
Does it bounce more than a chest camera, when walking, etc?
If you add extra bungee straps to it around your body it works like a chest mount. In case you need it for bouncier uses.
would it work for skiing?
I have not tried skiing, so I can’t say for sure, but I don’t see why not. Activities where there’s a lot of jolting or bouncing a chest mount would better. But I think skiing may work.

what size neck is it i have a 22" neck ?
Honestly, it’s a good question I am not sure. I am a large guy with a large neck and it fits me comfortably. It’s very malleable so it can be shaped to your neck.
What are the dimensions of the neck pendant?
I’m not sure offhand I’ll see if I can dig that information up. I have a large neck and it fits me quite well. The nice thing is it’s malleable so it can be formed to fit any shape.

Yes, it’s fairly stable. Plus, when you put in the stabilization, it takes away all the shake.

I did see one user put an elasticated band around their chest just above the camera mount. That seemed to reduce the bpuncing a lot.
