I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve watched this 3 times a day for a week straight. It’s just so inspiring. I felt like I had to match and coordinate EVERYTHING until I watched this. It has sparked so much creativity and now my “vintage and orange” junk journal has turned into an array of colors. I feel so much more excited to enter my craft room and just throw a bunch of “junk” together.

Lovely tutorial! I like that you get straight to the point. Some tutorials can take over 10 minutes to get to the actual instructions and I lose interest. But this one was great and I watched the whole thing. I now understand why these journals cost a lot, so much work goes into them!

Brilliant. I love your tutorial. You were straight to the point. No dog, cat, or bird noises. No sewing machine noise. The music in the back groud is nice. Your voice is soothing. You made it look easy and simple. I have found a ton of golden books and I have a ton more of unused scrapbook paper. I work 70 hrs a week. But... I set aside one weekend to make my book. I can certainly appreciate your talent with junk journals. I just could never destroy a Golden Book that is in good shape to create one. Perhaps I could buy a reproduction.
Im new to the junk journaling community and love watching all of the fantastic videos! This one is no exception. I just saw some Golden Books in an antique place I was in today and after this video I think I might go back and buy the lot! I have tons of bright children themed scrapbook paper from making my kids scrapbooks that would finally find a great home!
This was so creative. I've heard of upcycling golden books but I've never seen it done before. Thank you for the great video. I think my only tiny comment is that I wish you had been able to save the "golden book" silver binding and added it back somehow. That binding is what makes a golden book to me. :)
Cg13456, look at Kim Kan’t Stop Krafting, Little Golden Book junk journal tutorial. She uses the golden book binding, and doesn’t cut it off. I think you would like seeing how she does it. 🥰

What a great video: start to finish how to with easy to follow instructions. I will definitely be saving this one. Your voice over is perfect: pleasant to listen to. (The music on repeat does get a bit too much). I find I get too involved with producing a consistent theme throughout and while cute it makes the process take forever so a finished product seems daunting. You showed me how to use coordinating scrapbook papers plus the traditional
Junk journaliers addons like some ledger, music paper and coffee died pages for interest: streamlines the process so that finished product is more quickly attainable. Thank you. Great job.

I absolutely love this video, thank you so much for sharing. I’m a fellow Aussie and was so great to see I had collected similar things to you. I’m also an Op Shop girl and get a lot of my supplies there. I also have never found vintage ledger paper, but I just buy new ledger books and distress. I’m very lucky where I live (country NSW) no one realises what they can do with beautiful old lace and trims, so whenever it comes in store I get it very cheaply. Please keep up your videos, I love them. 😍

My mother passed when I was young. I have mourned her passing every day of my life. She was so gentle, kind, lovely and hardworking. I learned from her how to actually be a wonderful mother in her unfortunate, shortened years, despite the following women my father married.
She read to me the same books at naptime every single day, asking and encouraging each time if I wouldn't like others read. For me, the answer was the always the same.
When my children and grandchildren did the very same with their favorite stories, I thought of my precious mother, and obliged without complaint.
I think I shall make two sets of this for my two favorite books, both Golden Books 😄, and give them to my surviving children, with stories of my youth on the added pages.
And then, pick two of their favorite childhood books each with stories and photos of their youth! I believe these with be beautiful and time-held gifts.

This video is so helpful never thought about using a dominos piece! Some golden books have the mini books on the back I cut them out to use as a charm.
