DIY Watercolor Background Shaker Card (FineTec Gold Watercolors)

Creating a DIY background using a ruler, pencil, and watercolor paints. Then making it into a shaker card.

Today I have a card for you that took quite a bit of time to create, but was worth it in the end, I think. :) I created a DIY watercolor background pattern by painting bunches of triangles, and then turned it into a shaker card. I added pops of gold using the FineTec Pearl Colors gold palette, including creating my own gold die cut by painting a wash of gold over watercolor paper an then die cutting the Birthday Script die from Mama Elephant. I used one of the "happy" stamps from Simon Says Stamp's Happy and Smile stamp set to finish the greeting. I used Rich Pale Gold embossing powder from Wow, which turned out to be a pretty good match to the gold I used from the FineTec palette. :)
