- I'm back ! This time with probably one of the most memorable Castlevania songs in history. I decided to include a new melody just because ... reasons ... I don't know, I just hope you guys will enjoy it !

This was playing via Bluetooth in my car as I was rushing home to take a huge dump. The frantic tempo and urgency of this cover matched my anxiety about not making it in time and was all too fitting.
Thank you for giving me the extra drive to speed and almost take out a mail box on the way home to poop.

Mega man x's Soundfont is one of the best IMO. Really, the Cornered theme and Bloody Tears were made to be much better with this used.
Yeah it's pretty good.
Only other amazing sound fonts I can think of would be RSE (HOENN TRUMPETS) and HGSS (some good guitars and percussion)

Honestly I've heard many Bloody Tears remixes, and the symphony of Mega Man X style is just grand as it hits the song quick but knows when to hit it well

What you did with modifying the main melody was amazing, great to see somebody putting a decent twist on this masterpiece of a track. If ever you feel like doing something like this again, don't hesitate about it. This is probably the best rendition of Bloody Tears I have heard in quite some time so keep at it!

Although technically the 'burned by sunlight' thing was invented by the film _Nosferatu,_ so the resistance to sunlight is at least semi-justified on that part. The *reaction* to sunlight, on the other hand...yeah, I can see how that'd be problematic.
Don't share this comment with her however, watching her *_drink_* a subweapon is just too amusing.
Technically in the old stoker novel vamps could walk in the sunlight they just lose all their OP powers
@Flandre Scarlet Yeah, it's direct exposure...so it's more like some strains of vampires in The Elder Scrolls universe, weakened by sunlight, but not outright lethal.

I actually have Castlevania II. I was hesitating about playing it, because of what I've heard. Now I've heard this, I'm going to do this.
Maybe you should play Castlevania 2 redacted, it should make it a bit more enjoyable.

I'm a big-time Mega Man fan (mostly Mega Man classic), but I've never liked the Mega Man X instruments... until I heard this. Glorious.

GAHHH! I loved that little breakdown in the middle with the melodic change. It was fantastic and you should always look to create original little twists like that :P
This mix was great overall, and the only issue I personally had with it was the bassline in the little camel-note section of the song (e.g. 0:33). That one note in that part felt a little too tense and it felt like it clashed with the other notes being played. It was a bit unsettling the first two times I heard it because it wasn't the natural chord progression I was expecting and thanks to years of playing in a group, my ears immediately made me think "Somebody missed the key signature."
To give it a fair shot though, I went back and re-listened to it several more times. I still don't necessarily like that note, but after listening to it again, it doesn't sound as out of place as my first impression said it was.
Fantastic remix otherwise and I look forward to more Castlevania work for sure.

the intro has an awful lot in common with the intro from devil driver's "just run"... I like it.

In the section of Classic Castlevanias my favorite one is Bloodlines on Genesis. In the category of "Metroidvania" games my favorite one is Symphony of the Night.
I'd recommend both if you are interested in playing one for the first time :P
