Yanagisawa S991 vs. Kessler Custom Handmade
Both saxophones were played by the same player using a Kessler Custom ProSoprano 5 mouthpiece. Identical recording and editing settings were used.

As for Kessler saxophones, I own a curved soprano from their line. I would rate its build quality, sound and performance as excellent, especially for what you pay for.
Great Kessler to even be on the same callabor as Yanagisawa yes that Yanagisawa S991 is no joke. So I admire Kessler for even being able to compare.
Hey Dave, which Soprano is the one used in the video? I see a few Kessler models on the website, and after loving my Bari so much figured I'd continue my collection with a Kessler Soprano. Thanks!
It is one of our Dual Neck Handmade models. These videos were made before the launch of our Handmade One. The Handmade One has the same overall tone but has a little bigger and broader upper end of the horn.
Awesome, thank you!
ugirl2,
Where are you finding bad reviews of the sopranos?
I'm looking for a low resistance sop. I have a Cannonball now. How are these horns? Mine gets really stiff on high A and above.
Yani has a fuller more round, sound, especially in the upper register but the Kessler is no slouch
it pisses me off that the reviews for kesslers are so bad and they keep saying cheap chinese toys same with alpine, winston , etc. the allora is a cheap toy. now that i heard the kessler i was going to go with a LA Sax but jist no reviews on them so kessler or used kenny g e-series 2
