This is great. When I was student teaching, my cooperating teacher was so unhelpful and unprofessional. My program supervisor from my college always supported me with positive evaluations. He informed me later on that I could have requested a new placement with his recommendation, but I had no clue that was an option at the time- I just thought that was how all student teaching was. I graduated and got my Master's degree despite that experience! ☺️♥️
This is so helpful because I just graduated with my bachelors and will start this whole process soon. As of 2022, the Cbest can be exempted if you took certain classes in university and you submit your official transcript. My major matched subject matter competency so thankfully I didn’t need to spent hundreds of dollars on the cset. There’s still a ton of fees (not including my tuition for the credential program) but I’m both anxious and excited. I’m glad this video was based on CA because representation of the challenges of even becoming a student teacher haha
This was great! Last year in Indiana they got rid of the state-wide exams to become an educator. So now all one had to do is pass the licensure exam. Thankfully, my university has us do student teaching while obtaining our undergrad degree.
This is a great collaboration but my cooperating teacher said I said too many things about my personal life when I didn’t she was not a mother and I was and she had been teaching for 15 years and it was talking about her retirement and it just didn’t work out and now I have to wait till be placed in the fall because she was so stressed out about going back to the classroom with Covid and me not having a vaccination it’s lovely to see this two people get along like it should be great video
Mike Broskywhodatedhoski Our district is starting with distance learning until our county is off the watch list. Teachers will be working full time from our classrooms and teaching whole group and small group lessons for students that they can access from their district iPads!

So in North Carolina, student teaching is apart of our degree. We do it during our last year of our program
