Thank you very much for sharing the "Turkish Gambit" book and compliments. It was a pleasure to watch your precious explanations. I can imagine that it wasnt easy to present nearly the whole book in a single 40 minutes video but you did an amazing thing giving main ideas and tricks with most useful comments. The reason for giving a second name as "Turkish Gambit" was a result of Turkish players passion for playing this line. At some period it was played with so such good results that lichess statistics changed on the favor of "Turkish Gambit". In the book also 2 brand new ideas were introduced: 1.e4 e5 2.Ac3 d5 (a new gambit) and 1.e4 e5 2.a3 Reversed Turkish Gambit with white for fans of Turkish Gambit. I loved your comments very much. Really enjoyed this video. It was refreshing to see many beginner lines we see at the lower levels included in the analysis as well. I have enjoyed playing the Elephant gambit from both sides, but it's been a while since I played it myself, so I'm looking forward to trying it out again. Thanks for these exciting videos.

Than you for sharing Mio. Another gambit you may want to check is the devin's gambit. It was played by Mamedyarov (1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6) he played 3. g4..Also the similar gambit gibbins weidenhagen (bull frog) gambit 1 d4 Nf6. 2.g4
Very fine Video. I am a big fan of the Elephant Gambit. Where can I get this book in Germany?
I would like to mention that in the main line Ne5: can also be met with Qe7!? An interesting approach which is hardly known. If for example d4 Black plays f6! and if the Knight retreats dxe4 and follows f5 with Kingside Expansion and Long Castle.
If White falls for a Trap and plays after f6 Qh5+? Then g6 Nxg6 and Qxe4+ and the Knight on g6 is lost.
Ask the guy from Turkey whose name is on the cover of the book, he’s got UA-cam channel too!

On a related topic, what is your take on the Elephant/Petrov hybrid championed at high level by Jobava and popularized on UA-cam by Jonathan Schrantz 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 Nf6 3 Nxe5 d5 (Schrantz likes the move order 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 d5 3 Nxe5 Nf6 but 3 exd5 Nf6 4 Bb5+ seems like a big problem) ?
Thanks for comment. At the end of the video, I covered 3.Ne5 and gave Bd6 etc pretty solid game for Black, but lets be objective, white is slightly better there

@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial cf my first comment. It's a hybrid between an Elephant and a Petrov. You can reach it through 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 d5 3 Nxe5 Nf6 although Jobava prefers the Petrov move order 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 Nf6 3 Nxe5 d5 presumably in order to avoid 3 exd5 Nf6 4 Bb5+ in the Elephant move order. You can find several of his games in the lichess database against elite opposition.

Actually in the book and video, lines were shown as you wished. I checked lichess statistics and noticed that average players generally prefer not GM lines but dubious lines. So the book will be more practical for (1300 - 1800 rated ) reader. As you read at least 30-40 pages you will be ready to play online. And when opponents get tougher you will need the main lines and rest of the book.

dxe4 is even stronger! The truth is that this gambit is fun, but essentially rubbish.

@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial Yes, Mio!!! Here in Denmark they have something called "shawarma" (blackish-grey) however it is not on the level of the pink-colored "Döner" of Istanbul.
I'll would say that Istanbul Döner kebab is almost as succulent as the Butcher-lectures. Almost!👌😋
