Great video. I really like Princess because with "only" a balcony cabin you had full access to all of the ship. Copying the ship in a ship concept is a disappointing move. I hate this about NCL and Celebrity were large chunks of their ships are off limits to plebs.

As long as they don't expand it beyond the Sanctuary area we are fine with the Sanctuary Collection, as most of the other perks they give are part of the Premier Package, but we do get what you mean, NCL, Celebrity, MSC, and even the new Royal Icon, have significant areas now for the ship within a ship, which is great if you are in them, not so much if you are not. The Sanctuary has always been an extra charge on Princess, so wasn't open to everyone, but at least in the past you had the option, on a per day basis (if you were lucky) to pay to go in, with the new Sanctuary Collection, you don't. Which is a massive shame as this Sanctuary was the best we've been to on Princess, or any equivalent on other cruise lines.
I think 🤔 that Sky Suites get a cabana included in the cabin cost? The Suite Experience Manager on Sun (who used to be on Sky Princess) told me that what Sky Suites on Sun have lost in amazing balcony space has been replaced by private space in the Sanctuary, so I’m guessing he means a cabana (he’s not clarified completely as yet!) 😅
Oh that's interesting. We wonder if they mean the the dedicated suite area at the front (currently gated off), or the actual cabanas? If it is for the higher suites, then there would probably be enough of them to do that, and that would be an amazing perk for the suites.
We have never paid for day access to this kind if area but we would certainly look to book a cabin which includes this kind if private area - we love knowing we have a nice quiet area to retreat to.
Having those quiet escape areas is so nice on ships, especially the bigger ones, and we would absolutely consider a sanctuary class cabin on a future Star Class Princess ship next time.
