Great job, that was a loooong loop. Notice that every developed "island " on the bay is also man made (Star, Hibiscus, Palm all the Venetians, the I-95 causeway, North bay, etc) And whoever wants to buy Bird Key should check the history of Little Shell Island on the Caloosahatchee. It was being sold for a million dollars and hurricane Ian just wiped away (just a few weeks after a big party for local realtors to show them the island and its huge potential LOL)
Thanks for the video a lot of beautiful kayaking around the Miami area I will be taking my kayak out this week thanks to your video 3 months shy of my 70th birthday...
Dude, I pretty routinely run 30+ miles, but paddling (and or pedaling a kayak) that distance is massive! Looks like lots of cool places to explore, thanks for sharing!
Good to see you up in my hood, brings back memories of my interaction with those islands. first one was sandspur island(we called it beer can island) and removed boatloads of them back in scouts. ran out of bags several times. and had to run to keystone point and get more. and Quayside island used to have a chickee on it, we help the Miccosukee's build them, we transported the men and materials to and from the island from QUAYSIDE. way back in the late 80s. after Cristo surrounded them. that was a long paddle you did
Hi! I’m doing a research project on artificial reefs, do you have an email I could flick some interview questions through to? I would love to gather your expertise in this field.

Thank you for all your work on the islands!
@@SFLNature sadly all i saw left at the quayside island were the burned out column's from the chickees.
