I love these ideas! I made some pretty lights awhile back using 2 liter soda bottles. I cut the ends off the bottles. Then I cut and hot glued the ends of plastic white spoons layered onto the plastic bottles. I put a small bulb with a cord like you did with theses lamps inside each light. I also used the spoons on a square glass light fixture cover and it was also pretty. It would be better to use a better glue though. The hot glue comes loose from the glass after awhile.
Hey there! Thanks for sharing your creative idea! Using soda bottles and plastic spoons for lights sounds awesome. 👍 And yeah, finding the right glue can make all the difference for long-lasting projects. Keep up the DIY spirit! 😊
Both so pretty, can't pick a favorite! Hope you've seen the new mirrors at DT, would love to see a floor length mirror with them or some other creation, know you'll do them justice😉❤🙏🏾
Wonderful to see how yu pick stuff to use as other stuff. Teehee.😅 I luvit. Clear bowls and ornaments and jewels double as usable art, my dear. Your mind and eyes see stuff immediately that could be used for a project. It's great to get a peek at your choices. I can follow. Yu xplain well too. Girl, all around, one of the best channels on yutube and I am enamored to have seenya from the beginning. Yu run things, boss 😂💃🤗 Do take care ❤❤❤ 👋😁

Cute designs. I like the touch of gold on the ornament bulbs. I will try to recreate using the mini plates for bedside table tamps. What is an alternative to staples? Tfs
Thanks for the compliment on the designs! Using mini plates for bedside table lamps sounds like a fantastic idea. As for alternatives to staples, you could try using small brads, adhesive dots, or even a strong glue like epoxy or super glue. Just make sure whatever you choose provides a secure hold. Happy crafting, and I'd love to see how your bedside table lamps turn out! 😊
Aw, thanks for the vote of confidence! It's my pleasure to help out whenever you need. If there's anything else on your mind or any other projects you're pondering, just let me know-I'm here to assist! 😊
That sounds like a fantastic idea! Adding a push light to the second option would provide both functionality and style. Thank you for the suggestion! 😊👍🔦
Hello, I have a mantel fireplace ( not real fireplace) that I would like to use crushed mirror and mirror foil on. May I send you a picture. Need help on how to diy it also using the string lighting
Sure thing! Feel free to send over a picture of your mantel fireplace, and I'd be happy to help you brainstorm some DIY ideas using crushed mirror and mirror foil, along with incorporating string lighting. Let's make that mantel shine!
I’m wondering if the glue starts to melt with the heat of the lamp bulb when used for a long time. I bought a lamp from Kirklands once & it had an ornamental glitter design on the outside & it melted off because it was only glued on.
That's a valid concern! When using glue for lampshade decorations, it's essential to choose a high-temperature resistant adhesive specifically designed for such applications. Additionally, keeping the lampshade away from direct contact with the bulb and ensuring proper ventilation can help prevent the glue from melting. If you're uncertain about the adhesive's heat resistance, it's a good idea to test it with a lower wattage bulb or consider alternative attachment methods, such as sewing or using heat-resistant tape. Safety first!
Please be careful that nothing is flammable when heated❤ does plastic fumes will kill you before you get a chance to put the fire out. Maybe I'm just a little worrisome😮
Absolutely, safety first always! It's essential to be mindful of materials and their properties, especially when dealing with heat. Thanks for the reminder, and it's totally okay to be a little cautious - better safe than sorry! If you have any concerns or questions about safety measures, feel free to ask. 😊

Led lights are recommended for the reason. They burn bright without the heat.
