Something that often gets overlooked when talking about the Milky Way/Andromeda merger is that Andromeda and Triangulum are going to merge before that happens. These 3 galaxies are currently the only non satellite galaxies in our local group.

The show in general is really good at making it's characters shine in both positive and negative lights. Characters can be antagonists in one story arc then become the protagonist of another, and vice versa.
