- It's moving day! We vlog our cross country move from Arizona to Michigan. We drove 29 hours over 4 days with 3 kids! Was it as bad as our last road trip or smooth sailing? Watch to find out as we head back to the Midwest!

That’s interesting. I would never ever leave the midwest (Michigan) for Arizona at all. I love it here but to each their own :). I guess I can’t really blame you though for wanting to leave Indiana but Michigan is wonderful
Same here, from Indiana and moved to Flagstaff AZ. But we are also moving to Michigan soon because of various reasons. When we first moved we thought there was NO way we would ever move back to the midwest but here we are.

I made this trip alone on a motorcycle about 5 years ago.
Was a thrill because I got to listen to all of my favorite music.
Must be a nice feeling moving to a new state to start a new life, I cant wait for the day to move out of California, hopefully one day.

Such an amazing video. I'm so glad I found this channel. My family of 3 live in las vegas and are planning to move to grand rapids michigan. Detroit native till 1993 my wife a houston native till 1989 and looking forward to returning the the great lakes to experience four seasons and a better cost of living. We are hoping sometime in 2023. We already have a church home and friends that we've acquired over the last few years . This was a perfect channel for our family to see. Thank you
It’s been great to have a variety of weather again (the Winter did get a little long). lol But we are enjoying the Grand Rapids area. We also got a lot more bang for our buck with our house purchase, which we were happy about. Good luck on your move next year and an early welcome to Grand Rapids!

Welcome to Michigan! Looks like you all are thriving after watching your recent videos. Kids really do love the sand and water and camping that you get in the midwest! The snow too! We've had perfect 75-85 weather since May and I keep seeing more and more people move to Michigan to avoid the heat/fire/droughts.
We have enjoyed calling Michigan home. You can find something to enjoy about all 4 seasons. And yes, not having to deal with extreme heat and droughts is definitely a plus!
This is bittersweet honestly, you guy's videos were a huge motivation that helped me move from Chicago to Phoenix. I'm glad the channel is continuing and not ending. Keep the good vibes flowing back Midwest!

Well done video that really shows the reality of that long long drive. I’ve been seriously thinking about driving from Gilbert to Minneapolis to visit my dad this summer. It’s a drive I haven’t made since I moved to AZ 35 years ago. After watching this, I think I’m going to do it. 👍🏽 You left at a good time btw. Summer has arrived here in the desert.

it's a long painful drive. I've done it many times. phoenix to milwaukee, but at 63 there is little padding on my bottom.

Such a great video! I got teary eyed as y’all left the mountains in Arizona, just as I did when we left from our visit there last October 😢 so many funny and sweet moments along the way, great soundtrack too! I whooped when y’all made it to Texas! 🙌🏻 it was awesome watching the topography change from desert and mountains to all the green and trees! We know exactly where that is. We lived right next door in Chelsea for a brief previous stint in Michigan. We even considered Dexter this 2nd go round, but ultimately ended up in the burbs of Grand Rapids.
I have lots of comments after watching this-
-I'm glad your son took his dramamine and you didn't have Sir Pukes a Lot. That would have made a long trip longer. I have a kid that gets carsick too, so you have my empathies.
-The way the scenery changed when you got further north was amazing-all green and lush. It made me a little nostalgic for having grown up in New England, but not that much.
-I'm glad you dodged the storms in Oklahoma. Those storms with hail and tornadoes are scary as hell.
-Around the 20 minute mark you were behind a car from AZ. Irony?
-Please continue to vlog through the fall & winter-I'm curious to see how the kids adjust to the cold.

Haha.. 20+ hours in one day. We did 14 hours each day though I probably would have driven straight through from AZ to Michigan if it was up to me as well. Welcome back to MI.. it looks like it is raining this week for your return, the humidity is still getting to me after being in AZ for 10 years prior.
It’s good to be back. But this humidity hit us like a ton of bricks. Definitely something we have to get used to again!

Do you have 2 or 3 drivers? I don't know if your daughter has her drivers license yet. My dad used to drive all day & my mom used to drive all night when I was a kid. She would sing Czech songs to herself while driving to stay awake.
Just 2 drivers. Our daughter is a couple more years away from getting a license.
Friend and I drove from Ann arbor Michigan to Oklahoma City ok,then Payson AZ,third day in Phoenix,miss seeing all the country on way here😂

Nice! We talked about flying off and on, but ended up doing the drive. It went surprisingly well with the kids. Having their tablets to distract them most of the time helped! lol

No tears, but I think we all knew we were going to miss AZ a lot. But then there was some anticipation about being close to our family again, so we had mixed feeling about the whole thing!

Crazy i from Michigan and i wanted to move so bad so i moved to Lexington Kentucky 7 months later i got home sick so when my lease up i said i was going home 😂

Lol! We counted the first evening (which was half a day of driving) as a day plus the layover in Ohio which only put us an hour away as another day. Normally we would have done it in 3 days.

It's not scary as in crime, it's just not as easy to drive through the curves of the mountains in the dark.

This was an enjoyable video and I subscribed. I just created our channel for my wife and I. We will be new UA-camrs. We live in the suburbs of Chicago and going to Traverse City. It was referring to driving through the mountains in the dark, not the safety of the town.

Hey buddy so we were thinking about selling are house in AZ to move to grand blanc Michigan we would make a good chuck of cash if we sell and we have family in grand blanc I'm scared to make the jump there I was born and raised in AZ and my family lives in AZ any words of wisdom I would appreciate my wife and my kids are 7 and 3 and they all for moving to michigan
I’d say you’re already ahead of the game since your family is already on board, so you don’t have to convince anyone. Having family in the area is another big plus. It makes a big difference having people you know in the place you’re moving to for that extra support. Being a native Arizonan, the winters might be long and tough for you but I think you’d enjoy the other seasons. I don’t want to tell you to go for it since I can’t guarantee you’d like it, but it might be a chance worth taking.
Oh god....don't do it. It's so gloomy here . Humidity is terrible . I'm from MI and I'd rather be in AZ.

She actually has lots of freedom. She’s a moody teenager who prefers to not be in her family’s UA-cam videos unless she feels like it. We don’t make our children perform, talk, smile or do circus tricks so you can feel better about us or for the entertainment of strangers. When any of them don’t want to participate, they let us know beforehand and we leave them alone. But of course, it’s easier and much more fun to play internet psychologist and make suspicious, unfounded assumptions about people you know nothing about. Watching a 30 minute video out of 24 hour days and 7 day weeks does not make one an expert on people’s lives.

I get family is there but Michigan has about the crappiest governor. Next to NJ NY. I wish you all the luck in the world not saying AZ Is cheap but Michigan prob isn’t either and the pandemic is over so idk. But enjoy the winter weather. Yas should try somewhere else.. idk what yas do for a living besides UA-cam. But maybe you should show ice fishing or Detroit.. new ideas prob to keep channel going...
