    I like De Maistre in principle but when actually reading him i feel like he's a little overblown. The entire first half of his french revolution book is just him gloating and saying "I told you so" in so many ways.

      Brag rights are reserved exclusively for a tiny majority of brilliant and prophetic men
      De Maistre's name belongs to this list of brilliant and prophetic men
      Therefore, De Maistre may brag tiredlessly until our sun seizes to set and rise above the heavens
