40C / 100F is fine on most jackets and vests, high water levels helps, regular cycle, extra rinses. It helps with vigorous drum movements too. You can use any liquid detergent, some prefer no-bio with out enzymes. Wash single garments, not many at a time. A full duvet needs extra rinses and good movement in the water, and at least 2 hours in the tumble drier. The down and feathers handle upto 60C / 140F (both washing and drying temps) the rest of the garment might not. Wash labels can be deviated from if you know what you are doing. This should not cause excessive wear on the items and can make cleaning them much easier.
My jacket has oil stains how i can get rid of it plz
Very helpful thank you so much
great informational video!!! Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Mine says it shouldn't be tumble dryed?!
Hi, can you use a top load washer that has no center agitator? Also for detergent, can I use the regular Tide liquid ?
Is there a reason why we should not spin out as much of the water as possible on high? The syntrifical force on the sides seems like a hard squeeze without damage, or would it?
What about washing in a top loader with impeller (no agitator)
Thnks
I have a top loader but it doesn’t have a agitator will I be ok ?
Chuck into a big bra bag aka laundry mesh bag!
Yes. As long as there is no agitator you are good to go 👍🏼
What if I don't have a dryer? Would the down still clump up after the wash?
So don't use a top loader without an agitator?
Don't use a top loader at all.
Top loader without agitator is fine. Eric Hansen has a video on that also if you search it. He uses a top loader without an agitator
of course i used a top loader
Do we need to hang it first before put in the dryer?
I would put it in the dryer first. If not the wet down will sag to the bottom of the bag when you hang it.
@@TaysonWhittaker so why in your video so you say to hang dry four to eight hours before putting it in the drier?
@@joe8172 Lost all the credibility 😅
or just dont
