2024/09/03 火曜日 撮影 この日はネネが体調不良なのか室内から一度も外へ出ませんでした。 室内の高い場所から午後の2時ごろまで観てましたが､ほとんどその場所から移動しませんでした。 食事も食べていませんでした。 それをシャバーニが心配して下から覗き込むシーンが多々みられました。 他のゴリラ達もいつもと様子が違い食欲もあまりありません。 シャバーニもほとんど何も食べていませんでした。 動画は撮影した時系列順に繋ぎ合わせて編集してまします。 一部立て動画も含まれます。 ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー Filmed on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 On this day, Nene was not feeling well and did not go outside the room even once. I watched her from a high place inside the room until around 2:00 p.m., but she hardly moved from that spot. She did not eat any food either. There were many scenes where Shabani looked down on her, worried about her. The other gorillas were also acting differently than usual and did not have much of an appetite. 9:13. Nene seems to have vomit on her arm fur, chest and other side. It's very clear to me that she has gotten sick recently. I believe Annie, Shabani and Ai are concert and staying close to Nene like any concerned family members would. They are a bonded troop. I see concern in Annie's face not anger or ill content.

Nene has a large, red, angry looking swelling on the back of her left hand. (Abscess?) There's poop in her fur and on her chest as well. I've never seen Nene this scraggly and unkempt. 5:44 and 9:27. Throughout the video she's twitchy and her breathing is shallow. I'd interpret that as a level of either pain or malaise she can't ignore. My concern about not eating is not so much the nutritional loss but the lack of water she'd get through those foods. Dehydration is much more dangerous than just not eating when a body needs to fight infection. 😢

Oh Nene, my lovely old crusty gorilla lady! She obviously is feeling very unwell. I hope the zoo gives her a thorough examination soon. And as much as it would break my heart, if they cannot make her more comfortable then they should help her pass, peacefully and with no more pain. There is that shengalis deseasr going on gorillas in the USA . Three gorillas have died of that disease. I hope Nene recovers fast and is seen by the staff.

Breaks my heart to see Nene away from water. She is around 51 years old, which is roughly equivalent to 85 years old in human terms. I’m hoping it’s just a cold or indigestion, but it is heartening that her family is by her side whatever her outcome. ( I wish the family would get a break from all that visitor noise!)

Thank you for your comments. 2024/09/06 We went to Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens on Friday, but the exhibition in the playground was canceled. We cleaned two rooms inside the building and started the exhibition from lunch. Only Kiyomasa and Ai came out at first, but after a while Annie came out, and then Shabani. They all seemed to have no appetite. Nene also came up from the basement just before 1pm. Her leg seemed to be in bad shape. For a moment, everyone seemed worried. There is a trace of an injury on Nene's right eyelid. Her eyes are also closed. Did she fall? The video has been edited and connected in chronological order. Thank you for your cooperation.

I really zoomed in on this and Annie spends most of that time looking at Nene's arm. (She also does this when mother Ai has superficial cuts.) Nene has an angry red abscess (?) on the back of her left hand. She's not touching it as it looks like there's poop in her fur. I've never seen Nene this scraggly and unkempt.

I am sure the keepers are aware, and should be performing tests on her to see what the problem could be. 10:35 She does look ill and weak 😟😞. 15:34 I never noticed that lump on the back of Nene's left hand, and ever more worrisome she seems a bit short of breath. Thank you Mr.Gori for covering Nene’s severe illness and announcing to the public, I believe that this disease is spreading and AI might have caught the illness as well at 9:02, Kiyomasa & Annie might have gotten sick as well. You can see the Zoo staff trying to figure out how to get nene down from there and give her medical aid, but since she refuses to drink or eat anything I think Nene’s days arenumbered.😢😥

I’m really sad. Because usually in the animal kingdom when they are sick and ready to die they’ll stop eating and hunker down as if waiting to pass. I hope that’s not the case but Nene doesn’t look well. 😢

@@Mr.Gori_1996 I hate to hear that she is still not eating. They may have to intervene to make sure she is getting some nutrients. She had been doing so well this was kind of a sudden illness for her. I really hope she gets better soon and starts eating in her own
I really hope-e the glass between the visitors and the gorillas is soundproof because it gets very noisy inside the building. Of course children are going to get excited at the zoo but when you see NeNe feeling so terrible I find myself wishing she could have a little peace and quiet. Does anyone know if the glass windows are soundproof?

The exhibition in the exercise area was canceled. After cleaning the room, breakfast started at about 9:46 in the morning. According to the zookeeper, Nene eats her meal underground. It seems that she comes up when she's done. She appeared at about 11:46 this day. Just like the day before, she was resting at a distance from the other gorillas. Shabani and Ai seem worried. Nene had a stroke, it shows in the loss of usage in her right back leg, and in her drooping right eye. She has very little strength in trying to be mobile. She should have been isolated & checked medically earlier... the day she had the stroke, but it seems the zoo vets didn't know what to do. ZOO OFFICIALS....please be open & honest as to Nene's current condition and official diagnosis. Your being very quiet about this...why? Is she healing or is her health spiraling? As viewers we would like to know!!!.

Tay is a horrible mother, she doesn’t want to hold him, pushes him away when he tries to touch her, and really doesn’t want to feed him. If he’s tired or looks weak it’s because he’s not getting fed much. I feel so bad for that little guy. If you have been watching this fed you will see that his aunt tries to get close to him . She wants to pick him up and care for him.

On this day, Nene was not feeling well and did not go outside the room even once.
I watched her from a high place inside the room until around 2:00 p.m., but she hardly moved from that spot.
She did not eat any food either.
There were many scenes where Shabani looked down on her, worried about her.
The other gorillas were also acting differently than usual and did not have much of an appetite.
Shabani had hardly eaten anything either.

9:13. Nene seems to have vomit on her arm fur, chest and other side. It's very clear to me that she has gotten sick recently. Nene has a large, red, angry looking swelling on the back of her left hand. (Abscess?) There's poop in her fur and on her chest as well. I've never seen Nene this scraggly and unkempt. 5:44 and 9:27. Throughout the video she's twitchy and her breathing is shallow.
I'd interpret that as a level of either pain or malaise she can't ignore. My concern about not eating is not so much the nutritional loss but the lack of water she'd get through those foods. Dehydration is much more dangerous than just not eating when a body needs to fight infection. 😢

Breaks my heart to see Nene away from water. She is around 51 years old, which is roughly equivalent to 85 years old in human terms. I’m hoping it’s just a cold or indigestion, but it is heartening that her family is by her side whatever her outcome.

2024/09/06 We went to Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens on Friday, but the exhibition in the playground was canceled.
We cleaned two rooms inside the building and started the exhibition from lunch.
Only Kiyomasa and Ai came out at first, but after a while Annie came out, and then Shabani.
They all seemed to have no appetite.
Nene also came up from the basement just before 1pm.
Her leg seemed to be in bad shape.
For a moment, everyone seemed worried.
There is a trace of an injury on Nene's right eyelid.
Her eyes are also closed.
Did she fall?

I really zoomed in on this and Annie spends most of that time looking at Nene's arm. (She also does this when mother Ai has superficial cuts.) Nene has an angry red abscess (?) on the back of her left hand. She's not touching it as it looks like there's poop in her fur. I've never seen Nene this scraggly and unkempt.

Oh No! Nene is not feeling good. She didn't eat. I am sure the keepers are aware, and should be performing tests on her to see what the problem could be. 10:35 She does look ill and weak 😟😞. 15:34 I never noticed that lump on the back of Nene's left hand, and ever more worrisome she seems a bit short of breath. Hopefully it's just the way she's sitting. Oh dear heavens! I hope she can get down from the cubby safely. Thanks Mr. Gori on the info. Please keep us posted.

Thank you Mr.Gori for covering Nene’s severe illness and announcing to the public, I believe that this disease is spreading and AI might have caught the illness as well at 9:02, Kiyomasa & Annie might have gotten sick as well. You can see the Zoo staff trying to figure out how to get nene down from there and give her medical aid, but since she refuses to drink or eat anything I think Nene’s days arenumbered.😢😥

I really hope-e the glass between the visitors and the gorillas is soundproof because it gets very noisy inside the building. Of course children are going to get excited at the zoo but when you see NeNe feeling so terrible I find myself wishing she could have a little peace and quiet. Does anyone know if the glass windows are soundproof?

Nene looks ill...she keeps smacking her lips...nausea?? Usually Nene has her bottom lip hanging open byt not today. She looks dehydrated. At 52 the zoo needed to have moved on her quickly. Elders like young children need quick intervention... not waiting. She needs IV fluid!!

Nene had a stroke, it shows in the loss of usage in her right back leg, and in her drooping right eye. She has very little strength in trying to be mobile. She should have been isolated & checked medically earlier... the day she had the stroke, but it seems the zoo vets didn't know what to do. ZOO OFFICIALS....please be open & honest as to Nene's current condition and official diagnosis. Your being very quiet about this...why?

Tay is a horrible mother, she doesn’t want to hold him, pushes him away when he tries to touch her, and really doesn’t want to feed him. If he’s tired or looks weak it’s because he’s not getting fed much. I feel so bad for that little guy. If you have been watching this fed you will see that his aunt tries to get close to him . She wants to pick him up and care for him.

2024/09/05 I went to Higashiyama Zoo on Thursday, but Nene showed up but didn't seem to be in good spirits.
She only ate a little bit of food.
She isn't on official display at the zoo, and she doesn't go out to the playground.
She appears to be eating vegetables underground.
Around lunchtime, she was given some vegetables from above and ate them.
The room hasn't been cleaned.
That's about it.

Poor Nene. I hope this isn't the end for her. She's had too much stress in her life from the young ones. 🦍❤💛

2024/09/04 I went to Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens again on Wednesday, and Nene made a brief appearance.
He didn't eat any food.
He was resting a little away from the flock.
He was seen dragging his left leg a little.
Hate to say it but it almost looks like old girl is shutting down. I hope I'm wrong 😢
