I am a home inspector. I currently test with a TIF8900. I would use this at every home inspection. I would like to make a comparison test for distance. Without the reach of other testers, how would it work testing gas pipes in an unfinished basement ceiling? Impressive video!
I am an average person looking for a house to buy. I would use it to check things out on my own. I would give it to the library for their Library of Things so that the whole town - and surrounding towns who share library privileges - could have access. (E.g. you can borrow a stud finder, memory loss games, tape/CD to digital, etc) Also, your description doesn't indicate in which state you are located, just references to metro areas.
