I have played in the "Chill" colorway a few times, and I love them. Feels broken in as soon as you wear them. I am a bigger(aka not as swift) guy, so I have not had the issue with the forefoot containment. That was the biggest reason why I sold my KD 12's, they pinched the hell out of my baby toes. Great work as always.
Did u go up size for the 13s after u have the pinching issue with your 12s?
@@thiennguyen9747 nah. I stayed with size 13 when I saw that the KD 13 didn't have that rubber piece by the toe.

The cushion on KD13 is insane. I was going to buy either Ultraboost or Curry 8s but wearing the KD13 on other foot. Ended buying another KD13 instead!

Got mine on a pretty good discount from Titan here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 Haven't tried playing in them because the courts are still closed. Just for another perspective since I have 2 customs pairs of these:
-I agree the solid rubber is FAR better than the glow in the dark rubber
-The shoes break in easily within 3 wears, very light yet sturdy
-The foam inside the upper (around the ankle) feels amazing and molds to your ankle well
-Heel to toe transition is seamless, but the cushion will make you want to bounce around on your forefoot anyways
-They look great even on long legs (KD legs gang wya)
-I have wide feet and I wear 13 in casual shoes, a 13.5 fits perfectly with these

Money Mitch yeah I customed 2 KD12s as well (vids on my channel) I think the 12 is a lot more bouncy feeling. The 13 is smoother, it kinda feels like the zoom bag is wider instead of so bubbled up
Dane Ibsen hey man, should I buy a size 9.5 cause I it’s my first time buying kds I’ve always been wearing kyries and my shoe size last year for kyries was 8.5 (so my size this year prob 9) and they’re pretty tight on me cuz I grew during quarantine and I wear 8.5 on adidas what do you think and I have a wide feet?? Sorry if it’s long

coming from the PG 3's, these shoes are the BOMB bruh. cant believe the comfort it gave me. performed spectacular on the court, either im on defense top of the key or even on fast break transition these shoes did their job, traction was 10/10 although here in indonesia its very dusty (read : court with sands particles bruh imagine that) so i occasionally wipe *just my instinct tho. cushion ? no comment, it is simply the best. lockdown and support for me was good tho, i've rolled my ankles quite often on them PG 3's, but on KD 13's, i felt rly secure even though my play style altered to more agressive ones bcs of weight loss. overall this shoes were pretty worth it, although i dont rly care about the materials as long as its comfortable enough, but yeah the materials could've been way better for the damn price tag. cheers

Love the KD12s so much so that I bought several pairs. The only gripe was indoor traction on dusty courts. I like the fact that KD13s may have better traction but Im worried that with extra cushion it sits higher and therefore lose that “court feel” I love so much with the KD12s. Everything sticks in outdoor courts. The real test is indoor dusty courts. Will def try these when gyms open up again
So KD 12 is good outdoors?
I hoop in these, i am a 6'1, 170 pound pg and these are insane. The zoom Is so damn nice, It feels like you're wearing Rocket boots. I don't even know how to describe It.

KD 12 is too hot to wear outdoor (especially Summer) cause it has more layers than KD 13, KD 13 has more ventilation, one downside is that outrigger is not enough for players who like to do a lot of crossover (just beware of it after breaking in the midsole) I’m not sure if you change the stock insoles & add your arch support insoles would change this problem or not

I’ve been playing outdoors in these and that lateral support is definitely lacking. Wouldn’t recommend for shifty guards. Very narrow and easy to roll your ankle if your feet are on the wider side. Plus, I’m a woman with a size 8 in men feet.

I have the KD-13 multi-color and just got the NY vs NY, probably some of my favorite pair of shoes. Never owned KD-12s so I can't compare.

What a nostalgic intro Nightwing. Honestly it looks like that the kd13 failed due to the material issues for a shoe it's price. Goddamn Nike really cutting the budget on the materials i hope the freaks 2 be bad boys too.

These are decent for outdoors. When the traction is still available it's pretty great, and the fit is kinda snug especially at the forefoot. The cushion is super good. Overall a great shoe

I own the 12s and i’d like to have snug fittings-so i went tts, my feet are slightly wide so my toe’d have discomfort IF i play intensively and do cuts/stopping on dimes. Plus the 12s def have issue on ankle/heel lockdown- thats why the 13s have those “wings” wrapping up from the heel to the 2nd to last lace-hole.
nightwing did not have that issue because he’s heavily on forefoot, i do heavy heel strikes, and i experienced the containment issue of the 12s heel containment( i laced it all the way and it was a tts snug fit). Basically my heel slips around the medial side of the foot, there is a rubber midsole coming up to cage your heel medially, and the upper material of the 12s was too “flexible” so when i did an intensive heel strike, it has the tendency of tilting medially inward for my heel, you won’t experience ankle roll-imo but the issue is your heel will tilt and dig onto “the top of the mid-sole wall’s caging”.
Basically the upper material was too fexible and could not contain the heel for 12s. Thats def the reason why the changed the upper of the 13s and added the two “wings” wrapping your heels to the 2nd to last lace-hole.
I think the 13s is nike trying to perfect the 12s, the kd signature line is suppose to have lateral/foot containment issue-because kd is a freak of nature and his demands are different to consumers, simillarly to lebrons line
Personally, i think nike pulled the best moves for 12s because kd was peaking with gsw that season. Nike threw out a steal for consumer regarding the 12s cushion and material, and the 12s happened to be one of best performer that year 2019, the 13s isn’t the “golden child” for nike in 2020 so they just went and tweak the 12s. If the 13s lived up to the hype of nike kd “reborn” from 11s ->12s, i think nike should and would have kept that heel zoom while adding forefoot zoom. Which they did not, and the outsole durability supposed to make-up for that and it did not. And kd is still out for the season so nike is doing just fine.
Business is still business, nike is still the same “cheap-nike”, and customers still hoping for the next-best things. And i cannot have one consistent basketball shoes line to stick with, ended up buying 5-10 pairs yearly and still pondering on when other brands gonna make “the shoe”.
Why he do it tho..that lil tease of the NW1 with the gum soles...🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Your shoe of the year pick of the KD12s got me back into the line as the Kyrie's had me locked in for quite a while now. I'm super excited to see how these perform myself. Back to the NW1s...bruh, WE NEED that colorway to release. So stoked for your long deserved opportunity and anxious to get my feet in a pair.
Looking to get back to Dame line after switching to Why Not 2.0 and Jordan 34. I really love Dame 5. Have a look at Dame 7, and damn it's better than Dame 6 but still doesn't suit my taste. So, made my move to Nike stands, fall in love with the marble outsoles on KD13 and that solid rubber like very2 stiff and strong, love it. End up going home with every KD13 available with those marbles, Black Dark, Home and Oreo. Love every each one of 'em. Still hoping Adidas doing mega with Harden 5.
