Always interesting to see the not so famous things in Bangkok. I am itching to get back to the land of smiles.
cheers. i try and show some of the more obscure things to do so glad you appreciate it.
Thank you Phil for giving Chris an amazing idea for a video! Loved this! One of my favorite pieces is on 6 Sukhumvit 24/1 alley. Its been there forever. Nothing special and certainly not as colorful as the modern day pieces, but I remember way back when being in Bangkok (I think my first or 2nd visit to Thailand) and loving my visit. I was in one of those life moments where I was stressed out with work/life/working too hard and was overcome with joy as most Thailand travelers experience and wanted to change my life for the better. Being in a cubicle for work wasn't for me. Then I rounded the corner and this piece hit me over the head like a hammer- Shakesperian man holding a skull. I just ended up staring at it for minutes. "Get busy livin, or get busy dying." When I got home, I decided to start a full time wedding photography business, which gives me the freedom to be my own boss, enjoy my life on my terms and probably most important, to travel as often as I can. I've been doing that for over 12 years full time now. That piece served as a wake up call for me, so its meaningful to me. I love street art that makes you think. Awesome video Chris. Always a delight to see. And hell yes for Part 2! And of course, how awesome was 11:28.
wow do i ever love this comment!
I’m so inspired by your channel! Next time you are in Samui please come to my restaurant and I will serve you some homemade gumbo and fish tacos. Blessings from Koh Samui!

Retired Working For You We will be reopening November 1st. It’s called Lilikoi- located on Maenam Walking Street! Thank you so much! We are so looking forward to meeting you❤️🙏
Nice street art and cool places. Love Bangkok - city has always new stuff to see. Whats about the situation - do you think they will open for tourists this winter? Great video again - also without the pond 😂✌️
not sure about tourists this winter. my guess is long-stay people first.
Great video! Thailand deserved a UA-camr like you! 👌👌👍👍👍
incredibly nice of you to say that.

Some amazing work out there, well done for what you captured Chris 😎👍
Well done mate...Ive been to Bangkok many times and was unaware of this fantastic street art.Great Vlog..🇹🇭.
There's a big difference between thug/gang tagging and Art. I love to see creative minds expressing themselves. Thanks so much for the content. I'd love to see more. I thought I watched all you stuff but am now finding these older episodes. Fantastic.

Wow! You keep upping your game with these vids! I thought this was fantastic and would love to see a Part 2. I'm pretty confident it'll get 1,000 likes. Great job!
it seems to be getting there.
Great video brother. Getting "lost" while traveling can be so much fun. Love to see the unusual stuff. Keep up the great work.
thanks birdman.
very interesting today, a good "trip" in Bangkok with the street art I hope to see more
You are great story teller that's why it is always enjoyable to watch you. Concerning street graffiti I would say there is no need to look at specific artist. There is lots of high quality street art in BKK almost everywhere. All the best for you and your family!
thanks so much and i agree with you re. the street art. there's tons of great stuff here.
So many hidden treasures in BKK. Love it.
hidden treasure is what this city is full of!
Great video again mate, next video you should show some Bangkok hidden gems
Now that you're hitting the big time, some people are gonna have high expectations and undoubtedly post shit. Your videos might not be as fun and easy to do as before. I hope you don't feel burdened to constantly strive to go higher and higher each and every time. Sabai Sabai my friend.
thanks Sean. much appreciate the sentiments.
@@RetiredWorkingForYou Yes, the more followers, the odd hater- however we deal in love and peace so have nothing to worry about. xxxx

cheers. you're the bosses!
Keep up the good work
Very nice videos I saw every single one of them
Chris, Yes please make a part 2. Cheers
let's see if we can get the like count to crack 1,000. if you can share the video with your social media followers that'd be appreciated!!!!
In the right place i love it !!!
You definitely have my 👍🏼 for part 2. Great vlogs 👏🏻
thanks for that Thomas!
Great vid , part 2 is required !
THANKS FOR THE EFFORT MAN
cheers Sean!
Cool video. Something I've been meaning to do since arriving in Bangkok. Love your presenting style.👍
awesome, love your video and style
Great vlog, I think the really well done street art is art but the mindless tagging, initials etc is only graffiti. Thumbs up for part 2. 🇹🇭
funny, that is EXACTLY how i feel about the street art question.
Amazing 🤩 location and the art work and the cheaper hostel. Still remember last September I also went to this market and park I was exhausted by the heat and hot weather
oh yeah. hot is an understatement. i was wrecked by the end of this day.
Wow!Thanks for sharing the video!^^
my pleasure....perhaps you can do the same and share it to all your social media followers!
very interesting episode.
Yes. I think that more BKK or other Thai street art would be worth another video. Cheers!
Noted!
Great working and sweating punk video. Thanks!
Cool stuff. Seen some of it before, but didn't know about it. I miss BKK. Cheers!
Really enjoying your videos and I love satreet art! You should do one on the Bangkok Art Biennale which starts at the end of October.
Great suggestion!
Yes please. I'd love to see a Part 2. Maybe Charoen Krung Soi 28, 30 & 32? One way to do this is to make a tour by artist, like you did here; another way is to document one neighbourhood at a time, with a street-art walk. There are some beautiful pieces of art in Bangkok which I intend to seek out, the next time I'm there.
yes that is exactly where i'd go for part 2.
nice video, definitely would love to see a part 2! I remember I saw a big Alex Face street art at the outside of the Bangkok art and culture centre, and next to it their was a huge painting of King Rama IX. I do not know if this painting is still there.
Chris, love the energy and effort you put in to making great vids - I'm a fan. I'm also a fan of BKK street art and the klong-side walk (near my house) from Hua Chuang boat terminal to Jim Thomson House on both sides is terrific and often used by magazines for photo shoots. Talad Noi, and in and around Chinatown, is also a street art paradise. Thanks again for producing terrific BKK and Thailand stories - you're in a class of your own.
thanks so much for your great comment and kind words!
love the content!
👏👏👏that not easy walking around bbk it very hot weather
so true!
I like your videos and all episode , I like it! ^_^
Love watching your videos, Sir! Hope to bump into you sometime in Bangkok! Hope to see some content about Bangkok’s cafe/coffee scene. More power to the channel! Keep safe! 😅
good idea. although i don't know the bkk coffee scene too well.
Love this.
I want to see more street arts Chris!
Another entertaining vid dude. Hey here's an idea for a video - wildlife in Bangkok or Thailand in general? Lumpini Park they have a few hundred huge monitor lizards and huge fish - that's so cool. Maybe Bangkok has wild monkeys snakes I don't know!
i love the lizards in lumphini.
I just got the job in international company but it's in Thai :D
I am practicing my English from your video
I do enjoin your VDO...Thanks for showing to us.
My pleasure 😊
nice vdo 👍
Thank you, you are making realized how much I missed home.
it's my pleasure.
@@RetiredWorkingForYou When I go back I hope to run into you to thank you personally.
Love your videos!!!
thanks Polina!
Cool video! Didn't know Bangkok had a street art scene
Surprise subject!
Also like how you zoomed in on the peeling mural aspect....which only adds to the texture & perception.
I grooved on the graffiti in Rome but never saw any in Bangkok...
Now I know better!
is the stuff in rome cool?
Retired Working For You
Very....even their political graffiti adds to the ambience😄
Here in Los Angeles we have some pretty cool murals also.
Anyway, glad to see you highlighting this part of the art scene in Bangkok!!

Just discovered your UA-cam channel and immediately subscribed!
well that's awesome. welcome to the party!
Back in the 2008-2010 time frame, while living in BKK, I was an active street/urban photographer and also documented a lot of the graffiti in the city. A lot of Alex Face works have now been replaced by shopping malls and other big buildings. A favorite of mine was an abandoned lot, where people dumped garbage and the walls were covered in street art. It was an ever changing canvas, which I decided to make a project of documenting. Even after I left BKK, any time I was in the city I'd make an effort to photograph this empty lot. Today it is called Graffiti Park. Even before it was cleaned up and turned into a park it had international fame. Perhaps that's why the city decided to turn it into a public park.
cool comment! lots more great info. there...thanks David!
This is one my favorite chris
thanks!
Hi. Chris thanks been to Thailand going on 20 years at least twice a year . Never known had some much of this art . Almost reminds me of Berlin . And the Wall. Would love to see more . Berlin part 2 in Bangkok thanks
berlin in bangkok. nice one!
It's cool.
Very very cool!!!!!
Appreciate the uploading in 4K :)
cool, glad you like that! watching on your TV?
@@RetiredWorkingForYou You are best featured on my 55 inch 4K TV :)
Street art awesome 😂
Loved the video. That’s Alex’ newborn face you see often in his painting. It would have been nice to introduce him a bit more .
Another great adventure, thanks brother. My vote is for artistic expression. I'd say Mr. Alex Face may have some experience with hallucinogenics:):):)....Medicine for the mind.
3 cats. Well done!
I found what you call Graffiti Park some years ago as I was getting "purposefully lost" in and around Bangkok (I'd left the BTS at Siam) and I think only the Alex Face works were there at the time. If you are around lower Sukhumvit where The Game/City Lodge are take a short trip down soi 9 (it looks like an Alley) and there was some quite impressive Graffiti on what must be the back walls of Zanzibar. (Note, that small soi does smell bad though.)
great tip....thanks!
My man !!!
there he is!

Hi, Chris!
Always good to watch your videos.
I’m portuguese and I love Thailand.
Next time you decide to walk around Bangkok for street art don’t forget to pass by the Portuguese Embassy. They have an amazing sculpture at the embassy wall from a portuguese artist #Vhils.
Check that out, I’m sure you will love it.
Thank you so much, stay safe ✌🏼
"Chang Chui" Land, Brain and Ideas art, Sirinthorn Road, Bangkok
I like your video 👍
thanks!
I noticed you using the single use BTS ticket. You should make a video about the Rabbit Card, it can be used for other things besides just rechargeable BTS fares
that's a good idea!
Chris do you have any friends out there who work in real estate? A vid would be great explaining how to purchase Thai property as a foreigner/visa requirements etc. Keep up the great work 👍 Peter stuck in the U.K.
Great Video Work 😎. what musik is it at about 13:00 at park?
There are pictures of two elephants in Rachawong pier as well.
i really want to see that one!

Watching you walk with the graffiti behind reminded me of rick mercer doing his rant. I’d love to see you do a classic P rant.
Love a bit of street art as long as it's not that tagging crap : )
100% agree.
You were at the amulet market by the university that’s my favorite place to go all you need to do is take bus #1 and it gets you there from the sky train
amazing comment. my hope with this channel is that each video STARTS a conversation that others add to. so your useful information added onto this topic is EXACTLY what i'm hoping we get more of here. cheers!
Retired Working For You your videos help a lot since I can’t go back but I’m most likely going for the 90 days but I have to fly to England first so it might be a 100 day minimum
