This video is a few years old now, but I'd like to mention the reason Honed 5 didn't increase ores is because there is no double-ore chance in the game for Light Animica. If you tested how many more ores/hr you got with Banite and below, you'd see the augmented perks actually making a substantial difference.
Tonix RS it is like a potion gives u 15-19 strength and it fades as a regular potion so u can use (berserker) prayer. And the spec refills relatively fast to normal, like u will decrease like 5 strength stats. Not sure about the timing tho
Yea I mean like before I didn't test them but that was because neither of my accounts had the items to. Until I checked my bank, I thought I destroyed my Crystal Pickaxe as I got 200M mining. So luckily I had it and ended up buying a dragon pick. :)
Yeah I didn't test it at first. That was because neither account had 2 d-picks. Then I realized that I still kept my crystal pickaxe EVEN after getting 200M mining exp. So when I woke up and found out, I decided to test this.
Quick note: Ensure that you do not have a rune pickaxe in your toolbelt while your dragon pick in the inv or equipped, she will gild your rune pickaxe instead!
For ironman, the process is just around the same. Only difference is you need to farm 2 D-picks, which can take several hours. I will def try to make a 1-99 mining/smithing guide for ironman though.
honed 5 won't improve xp per hour. just improves ore collection. the perk is now 2% per rank chance of getting an extra ore, without getting extra xp. so honed is no longer an xp buffing perk. i'd almost expect the perks to be changed again, because they're so bad compared to before and the benefit over an elder rune just isn't worth it. at 10 hours on average for 2x d picks, and 5 hours to get the harmonic dust and gild a dpick, you're looking at 150+ hours to make up the difference in time spent. and thats if you end up with both picks within the average time to get d pick drops.
I ended up changing from Puretppc to Tonix. It was a tough decision at first but I feel it would be best for my channel as a whole. In fact many people were very supportive of this name change so I had to do it. I mean Puretppc is so hard to say for a lot of people. "Tonix" (Toe-Nicks) is easier to memorize/pronounce.
I don’t disagree. It was just a shock as I’ve seen this channel name in my recommended for a little and had no idea who it was. Now that I know I will have to keep an eye out. As for easy to remember/pronounce I have been reading it as tonics like tonic water lol

i just did it in 2020. with 99 mining.
at max efficiency or close, in total for full suit and fragments it totaled about 3 hours. super worth and fun.

free way to increase strength is the dragon battleaxe instead of overloads. The dragon battleaxe is buyable from heros guild.
Does this require 100% adrenaline though?
Tonix RS thats why you change to legacy mode, and everytime your adrenaline is back you do the spec.

If you use D-pick -> her she'll gild only D-pick regardless of what pick you have on belt.

Yea that's what I"m thinking. It seriously doesn't seem to be worth it to go after this BIS pick. I didn't go for this on my ironman.
