I was expecting some discussions on some postive economic indicators highlighted by President Museveni in his speech. The President for example, said that Uganda per capital income is now $1,182 which means by international standard, Uganda is now in the middle income status globally.Compare this to an African country that was once the biggest economy in the Africa whom the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said will get to this Ugandan status in 2026.
The state of nation is for those who comprehend the medium of communication used and the majority of people in our dear country don't know. We must come up with a viable national language that must be used in such occasions such as the state of nation to ensure every single person in the country can listen in. Museveni is very theortical in his solution to the problems that affect our dear country cause if he was practical then the East African Federation would be a unified entire and explempary to the rest of the continent but we are a laughing stock. If he was practical then we would be like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and South Korea but unfortunately we are still lacking behind in many aspects and he is the very cause of our fate
If for the last 38 years he failed to talk about hospital conditions, how do you expect him to talk now? The man has failed and failed completely. Unfortunately we have weak opposition political elites who only treat fighting the NRA/M regime with kid gloves. It is the opposition political elites, the acadamia, the intellectuals, the business community who have betrayed the young generation and the generation to come. Uganda will be free if the young generation who still have long lives ahead of them stand up and took a radical steps to get rid of these goons squandering their (young generation) future. The future of any generation is fought for but not begging from anybody or leader.
