I did not realize I was playing you rosen😂 I was your last opponent in the video. I thought you were a cheater cause I saw your 99 percent win rate when I checked your profile right before I played bishop d2 lol. I tried to play very passive the whole game because I thought I was playing stockfish. I found it strange that you played the exact ideas you recommended in certain structures but never could I have realized that it was actually you!
Effectively you were playing a ‘cheater’ - someone pretending to be 2100 when their true rating is above 2500! Nice outcome is that you didn’t lose any rating points and you played the legendary Rosen
I always feel sorry for speed run opponents as it IS a lie. I hope that immediately after the game you get some accolades for participating in the ruse with a personal note from the runner.
Please don’t stop this video series! This has been my go-to reason to pick up UA-cam, always hoping you have a new video here. My humble wish, aim at 3,000! Your explanation of thinking and justification of each move is unparalleled, the tone of your voice soothing and overall this series is just brilliant. Hoping that you will continue, thank you for the series thus far 🙏🏼
How to smush loser chess expert level players as though they're blunderers who have zero chance is really fantastic. Rosen is so damn logical about it makes it seem simple to do.
I love this speed run. I love your explanations, demeanor, and seeing your process for finding a winning idea. I hope you consider another speed run in the future!
Getting relatively close to your actual rating with only 1 draw/loss (only due to mouseslip) is quite impressive, especially since you often lose a bunch of time to give commentary
International Master decides to re-route the bishop. The chess watching public: "That's interesting". Kramnik: "I'm 100% certain that he's cheating and here's the proof!"
Loving this series, so glad you're not stopping at 2200! Could you play some Scotch games? Maybe even Scotch Gambit lines? I'd love to see how those games play out at the higher levels! 1200 elo and aiming for 1300 by January! Keep up the great work Eric!
As a beginner and someone who doesn't really have the time to study and improve, your videos are so nice and instructive. The fact that I miraculously saw the knight's sacrifice (43:18) during your game is a proof that your advices and explanations are very valuable. They improve our thoughts process, whether or not consciously. Thanks and cheers from Paris !
Here's a format idea; draft another strong player to play rapid games (maybe even 15+0?) and then do a speedrun commentary during the game and analyze after. Even you could have both players do an analysis from their side and post it to their respective channels as a collab. Watch the game from both perspectives.
Thanks for the series Eric! Your explanation of ideas helped me to get from 1350 to 1550 in rapid. I am feeling that I can grow more... Thanks for your work 🙏
The good thing about watch your videos,i learn enough tactics, because you explain why,and i now think about each move critically, I'm always down on time too but them check mates at the end always nice to achieve.
As great as this series has been, I find the more recent episodes, which are above my rating, to be less engaging. It would be great if, after you've finished this series, you could do another series in which you're playing opponents at just a certain rating level - preferably mine! 😁PS. Nice shirt!
in my opinion going from 2200 to 2400 caters to a niche of viewers (i’m definitely not one of them) i much prefer if it’s end here and another speedrun starts with a different repertoire like d4c4 or jobava london for white and caro kann and slav for black
1. It's been done by better players. 2. It's not really his style. 3. A long time format would be detrimental to such a sacrifice, will lose much more often. 4. It needs to be at most 3min, which ruins the chill commentary
The speedrun is only till like 2400, that's so sad, I mean I might have a chance to play Eric but there are still plenty of untitled players in the 24-25 hundreds, usually around 2000-2100 fide ig which technically isn't master level but sure;-;
At the start of this series, when Eric says "it looks like they're playing opening x" I used to laugh because I was a beginner at that time and we didn't know any openings just throwing pieces on the board.
When you say "beginner to master", what 'Master' do you mean? National Master, Candidate Master, International Master or Grand Master? Edit: I forgot FIDE Master.

I assumed he would have written who he was in his bio but I guess not. I would have also thought he was cheating lol

Most speedruns end around the mid to early 2000’s because cheaters become rather frequent at these time controls.
There is currently nobody in the world at 3000 rapid. Magnus is 2nd at 2900
@@kieranmaguire116 Sounds like 3,000 would be the proper level of mastery! A solitude of mastery.

Totally agree / he’s my 3am go to guy / that sounds all wrong now I’ve read it back 😊
Watching Rosen speedrun at 3am...
Me: I do have to watch my time
watching rosen speedrun at 4am...
i gotta watch my time
2400 is a nice goal. This series will make for a great play list for a beginner like me to binge watch again. Thanks for sharing.
I love this speed run. I love your explanations, demeanor, and seeing your process for finding a winning idea. I hope you consider another speed run in the future!
Erics Speedrun series is the best on UA-cam - you get fashion advice, sleep aid and next level chess mastery. Keep it going Eric, you're a diamond.

Greatest speedrun series ever!!!
33:36 “there might be the idea of bishop c8” Eric CONFIRMED using the engine, Kramnik do the procedure!
Lmao, you have to find him considering a candidate move *two years ago* for Kramnik to think hes cheating
International Master decides to re-route the bishop.
The chess watching public: "That's interesting".
Kramnik: "I'm 100% certain that he's cheating and here's the proof!"

Rosen : Not impressed.

Three games seems like the perfect length. Thanks!
Lovely video as always Eric, thank you! Super instructive and entertaining.
Morning from Germany, it's 06.26am. I enjoy! Play!
Thanks for the series Eric! Your explanation of ideas helped me to get from 1350 to 1550 in rapid. I am feeling that I can grow more... Thanks for your work 🙏
8:41 it's the Gurgenidze!
Eric I love your content. Your voice helps me relax at the end of the day😊
Really liked watching you play against the Alapin, especially your queen placement.
These days I enjoy your speed runs more than Danya’s. Please keep it going
I'm watching your speedrun videos for the second time now, this is helping me a lot, if this speedrun ends please start a new one...
“Bunch more episodes” that’s what I like to hear
Every time I get the notification that you're on, it warms my heart.
I love these videos. Never stop this speed run!
Nice episode Eric ! Thank you ..I am so grateful that you are continuing the speed run up to 2400 ..😊🍷Gregory.
The modern defense mixed with delayed Caro Kan ( 8:33 ) is called Gungenidze.

The Bob Ross of Chess!
Eric is so easy to listen to.. makes chess relaxing 🙂
Love your videos and it helps me see that I still have a lot to go. Im strong when games go tactically, but weaker when they get too positional
@ 9:30 a3! That trap works all the time, no need to defend the b pawn yet
So glad you're going all the way to 2400! I was afraid it was ending already!
I thought after white plays h4 in the last game the sacrifices on g3 just looked crushing
Same here, i wouldnt have been able to resist

Eric is the man!! A legend
I don’t want the speedrun to end :(
What would I do with my life if it stops?
Love you Eric
First game, white's final move (rc1) should have just played c4, no? Discovered defense of the bishop from the queen?
Episode 70, 2200…
My love for Rosen, just getting started!
Awesome Eric 🎉🎉🎉
I'd love to see 1.d4 speedrun specially queens gambit and scandi
YAY A NEW ROSEN SPEEDRUN VIDEO
I think you should do a poll to get a clear sense of what your audience wants
Thanks Eric!
now you should do a savagely aggressive and disrespectful gambit speedrun
love your shirt bro
would love to see a gambit only speed run after this one
Stop farming, Eric! Or I will "publish your statistics" 😂
Cheers Eric
I only care about beard...no-shave November is coming Rosen, LOL! IT's beard time, baby, let's gooooo!! :D
Eric it’s getting cooler out. Might be a good time for a beard
i think you should continue the speedrun to see how high of a rating you can achieve before you start losing every game
That shirt is on point!!!
Game 2 too risky for my taste bc no idea what's going on, but like they say in baseball any hit is a line drive in the boxscores.

GO ROSEN
The second game was highly instructive apart from f6??
Funny that f6 was the mistake that then set up the mate to save the day.
The most shocking thing about this speedrun is the only 1 rating refund.
Surely there's more cheaters than that
How high elo could you get sacking your queen for a pony or bishop in the beginning

If opponent gains rating, do they lose it after the game I wonder?
It's time for a 1. d4 speed run!🎉
LETS GO!

How many episodes are there😭😭😭
I would guess 70
🧐🤔🧘🦆
there was a queen trap in the second game
just play a3
and if he takes the pawn his queen is trapped with knight to a4
Doesn't work, Black would play Queen to b4 check, and White would lose the knight
there is a pawn on a3 so the check would loose the queen
instead of rook b1 pawn to a3
and if he takes the queen is trapped
Oh, yeah, you're right
