HxH has been my favorite anime of all-time since I originally watched it back in 2014, and it's always a joy to see new people getting into it for the first time with reactions. I've recently discovered you both and have been binging some of my favorite episodes with you both and I've loved hearing your thoughts and seeing your reactions to the hype and emotions that the show has to offer. Regarding the Kite discussion at the end, I personally classify the ants into three generations: Gen 1 Ants are mainly born from animals and livestock and cannot speak. Gen 2 Ants are primarily born from humans and go on to retain memories of their former lives. And Gen 3 Ants were born from humans WITH Nen, and thus, had Nen naturally and could unlock the pores for others (The Royal Guards, Meruem, and Kite). So, when the Queen started to consume her first wave of humans (the original Colt and Reina), she discovered that the brain was the most nutritious and delicious part of eating them to make her 2nd generation ants. So the only reasonable conclusion we can draw from Kite's rebirth is that Pitou offered Kite's brain to the Queen after she killed him, and then she reanimated his body to train herself. And for what it's worth, Kite and Meruem were born at the same time, which makes them twins. Whether that means Kite is as strong as Meruem before being buffed by Pouf and Youpi remains to be seen. The thing about the ants was although they seemed scary they were never truly a threat to humanity. Like a budget explosive was able to utterly exterminate them. It just shows that despite their power and genius they are nothing compared to malice of humans. My favourite part of this arc is how it humanises the monsters and highlights the monstrous nature of humanity.
I get the same interpretation that Gon wouldn't be satisfied if Ging came to him. He has gone through so much because of his determination to finding him an I feel like he would want to do it "on his terms". Looking forward to the final arc, some really good moments on this one!
It may not be obvious, but Nen is an expression of willpower manifest. Its the ultimate in creative power, both for characters and for the writers. That's why its so limitless; yet its the limits that it does have cause tension and drama, because it is in the end your life force. It is not clear where Nen comes from, some say the planet itself radiates Nen for those attuned to it to harvest; whether they know it or not. There is admittedly so much more of this story for you to understand, if you are interested. Many "Series Recap" videos have the anime as only the half-way point of the video time because the on-going (and soon to return) manga has made such incredible progress in this world. I fully encourage you two to look into it on your own interest.
@@アキコ2003 People tend to get more invested in something if they watch alone and therefore feel more immersed in the story is what I think he means. I also would have liked to see them cry, but it's still cool to see how they reacted.
@@Divionisthow is Steve being there stoping John from crying? Like I don’t know about you guys but if something makes me cry, I cry. I can’t control it… doesn’t matter whose next to me either. So, I genuinely don’t understand how Steve being there is a problem.. Also, guys typically don’t cry when watching shows. I am not saying that guys don’t cry at all DONT GET ME WRONG but I am stating that for the most part they don’t. I have been watching reaction videos for years to notice this pattern.
