4:52 "I always found this to be the hardest part...": I totally agree. Is it crucial for the exercise to keep the ring finger fixed on the D-string? If I remove the ring finger from the D-string while doing the pull-off with the middle finger on the G-string it is way easier. What do you think?

Definitely try leaving it down it sounds better and the faster you get that note will still be ringing out before you strike it again but part of the reason why it’s such a great exercise is it forces you to be on your fingertip while you execute that pull off with another finger… Awesome exercise

The double pull-off is like the p/o of Minuet in C, but going to lower notes instead of upper notes.

For years now I’ve been using D’adario “Flamenco strings“ it says custom tension on the pack whatever that means…

I suppose I could turn the pack of strings around and see the tension of each string but I’ve never even looked at it
