Today I’m making my FIRST ever piece of furniture for my home! I have to say, I’m pretty blown away with how easy this project ended up being! This wooden coffee table truly was the perfect fit for our home & can’t imagine anything else that would have complimented this space better!
MONEY SAVING TIP💰🪵:
If you buy your lumber at Home Depot, they will do straight cuts for FREE saving you time & money! My specific store advertised the first 2 cuts free and all additional cuts $0.25 (not bad at all) but ended up Not charging me at all! Definitely worth looking into to save some money if you don’t already have an electric saw!
Cut Details:
You’ll need:
4x (2 in x 10 in 8ft) Pine or Cedar Lumber
Cut Into:
* (x3) 60 inch Planks for the table top
* (x8) 15 inch pieces for the table legs
Supply List:
•4x (2 in x 10 in 8ft) Pine or Cedar Lumber •Galvanized straps
•1 1/4 in Screws
•wood glue
•Chisel & Hammer
•Sander & Sanding Pads
•wire Brush (drill attachment)
•Paint Brushes
•Behr White Wash Pickling (1 Quart)
•Behr Good American Stain (8 oz)
•Behr Matte Sealer (8oz)
•Hammer
•Drill
•rag for 2nd coat stain
🔨 DIY TABLE Step-by-Step 🪵:
•Wood glue the (×3) 60" planks together and add tension to assure even drying.
•Make 4 pairs of legs by wood gluing (×2)
15" pieces together.
•Wood glue the legs to the table and
secure with Galvanized straps using 1 1/4” screws.
•Distress the wood to your liking using a chisel & hammer.
•wire brush entire table to open the wood grain.
•Sand your table (60 grit)
•Stain using a brush for the first coat.
(Behr's White Wash Pickling)
•Stain using a rag for the second coat. (Behr's Early American)
•final step once table is to your liking, add your protective layer. Apply a coat of Behr's Clear
matte finish. (Not shown in video)

Thank you sooo much !! Yes, I could not help but to put the rug down as soon as it came in! I ordered the rug off of rugs direct! It’s the “Billie rug” (color tobacco/rust) and I have the 10x14 size ! Thank youuuu ! I will say, it totally took me a few days or so to fully adjust to the look and actually liking the colors from the rug in my space (which has happened with all rugs I’ve ever owned and initially thought I would end up returning it but since it’s always happened I knew it needed a fair shot to make the call)! I’m absolutely obsessed with it and very happy I opted into a darker rug instead of another tan, cream or beige item in here lol!! Let me know if you have any other questions about it !!! 🥰🥰

Yes it has, there is no separation at all and feels completely sturdy!

Did you also use the wire brush and sander under the table and the legs?
I used the sander and wire brush for the legs but I only used the wire brush on the bottom to hold the color of stain
