Beautiful watch, I've had the PRW-2500 for a year or so now, and I love it. The way they're so resilient and also look nice is the reason I like Casios.
I finally got a PRw-70YT from the 7000 series this week. Its the titanium grey version and while a bit larger then my PRW-60T I love all the extra features especially a non full digital protrek that finally has Sunrise/sunset. Very happy to have it in my collection and thankyou for sending me down the Protrek path. 🙏 I may get a 61 in the future but I love the lightness and comfort of the titanium versions so much I think I will stick to titanium bracelet or combi bracelet only versions in the future. Again thankyou so much for your protrek reviews. They seem to not get much coverage and that's a real shame.
I've had very good experience with Casio. My Casio Pro Trek Solar has lastest over 10 years and still going strong, very sturdy. Hopefully yours will be just as good!
Greatest watch for tactical millitary use, EDC and Hunter, fisherman and adventurers. best futures, no need of batteries, super precise, WATER PROOF and price is RIGHT .
As time goes on I really like both. But the option to get a plastic bracelet for the 7000 makes my options easier in finding a comfortable fit on my large wrists. I'm really glad Casio is moving away from proprietary lugs on their protrek watches, Just a plain old lug to lug lets you put them on a Nato, a canvas or even leather if you like. I ended up selling all my proprietary strap protreks. You options to find a comfortable fit are just so much better.
April 18 2017-- Hello from the DBK boys !!!! they just hit 100,000 Subscribers and stated what a big influence you have been to them!!!!! Keep up the great video's Wako!
Do you still have this watch and how is it holding up? I've seen you reviewing some newer Protrek models but of all the ones you have done this is hands down the the nicest one still IMO.
I've bought a lot of protreks because of your vids. 😅 Not gonna lie I still want one of these but the 6600 series seems to be the upper end of what Casio will release here. Just got the PRW-6600Y-1A9CR last week and put it on a 24mm grey Braton canvas band. Really goes well with the grey dial on the watch and wears even more comfortably. I still can't find a Prw-7000 over here for a reasonable price.
I'm looking at purchasing A prw-7000 to finish of my protrek watch collection (I don't have everything just models that I like) and I think I have to disagree with you about the resin band. Yes the resin band is lighter but I find that I can easily wear a protrek watch on a catipliiler/combi bracelet for a whole 24 hours or more. I cant do that with a resin strap. Leather, titanium or cloth yes but not resin. Unless casio makes another high end protrek or something really interesting the prw-7000 and a manaslu will probably be the last protreks I buy. That should put me at 8 protreks. More then enough for my everyday and every occasion box. I LOVE wearing protreks. 😂😂 Now I just need to squirl away the cash for a Manaslu and the 7000.
Hello dear Wako, I want to ask you about water stone gradiations that you are using to get the razor sharp blade. Thanks for your videos, you are doing great job.
Ever considered GPS watch like garmin for your hunting adventures? Those would help you find the best way back to your car etc. Compas, map etc. IMHO better suited for your outdoor/hunting needs.
Mike _72 nah . This watch is waaay better than germin crap. Remenber, GPS wont always works under the large canopy of trees or forrests plus Gps watch dies too quick .
good morning. I have a casio prw-6000y that I buy. Does not sound the alarm call, rather it sounds but it is not heard unless you put it in your ear. You know if you have an easy solution. I told the store to buy it and they tell me that I sent it, that they give me back the money, but I want to repair it.
I think Casio has gone mad! Those watches are so big it is impossible to wear them. And they are gratuitously so big. All that technology is just packaged in a big case with lots of unused space to satisfy a dreadful lack of taste. Forget about basic things like wearing a shirt or even fitting your watch under your jacket sleeve. Try wearing gloves for a laugh! And the ABC functions are so imprecise that they are more of a gimmick than something useful. I fully expect in the next decade Casio to launch the watch that you wear around your neck because the wrist won't have enough real estate LOL.
Believe it or not, the ABC functions are really accurate, if you calibrate them on a frequent basis . Only The Thermometer goes offtrack because of body heat (which cannot be blamed on the watch) . The Altitude and Barometric pressure are accurate. Furthermore, these watches are big because they require protection for the mini computer it houses. I've abused my protrek while trekking and it is fascinating that it still ticks along. If it was any smaller, it wouldn't have the rigidity it possesses . Can't Blame casio for small wrists . If you want ABC function, go for a Garmin (Which is fragile) or Tissot T Touch (which is expensive)

Hi Virtuovice,
love from Dutch Bushcraft Knives and I.
Why doesn't Casio have colored LED light Apple Watch? Much more visible than gray scale 🤔
Time for a bushcraft video Doc!

Wako, what do you think of mechanical watches? They aren't as accurate as quartz but you have to admire the craftsmanship and beauty of them.
Hello Watch People!
Are the alarms loud enough to wake me up in my tent?
Hello
I am planning to get 7000 series. Can you let me know any Japanese shop that sales online?
Can you do another trout fishing video please? (: I really enjoy those videos. Especially when you eat the trout
It's true: when you turn off the light in the room prw7000 looks better. But when the light in the room is on prw6100 look very better!
does the PRW 7000 have the function of reading temperature and altitude/atmosphere pressure?
Yes
You should get a Casio mudmaster GWG-1000
Hi virtuovice DBK send me and i like your reviews!!!!!

Interested in selling your PRW-2000A?
those watches cost more than my cars...
gave you a thumbs up for that ugly looking monster of a watch
I like a watch with a cleaner, simpler look. I get confused if there's the watch face is too busy.
DBK sent you a new subscriber!
